The credit is a deal, but not the price of the PS5 and PS5 Pro. Silly tariffs basically cancel out the credit. PS5 summer bundle was $349. We should have been at $300 by now for holiday sales.

Got this yesterday to only play Gran Turismo.

I had a PS4 with a 500 GB hard drive, not 1000 GB and they still took it. About $500 for a PS5pro, not bad at all. 170$ for a 12-13 year old PS4 is awesome.

Dont forget to wipe out your old device before trade-ing in.

I just completed this deal. I traded in a PS4 Pro and bought a PS5 fortnite disc bundle. I paid around $311 with tax. Overall it was kind of a hassle.

Make sure you get the right system because some stores have it behind the counter and they might give you the wrong one. I was going for the PS5 disc drive system with fortnite bundle but they initially tried to give me the digital only bundle and then the standalone disc drive system with no game. The pricing is not the same on standalone.

Also the best buy employees didn't understand the trade in offer.

You get a gift card for the trade value and a separate printout will have a barcode for the $100 certificate towards the ps5 purchase. The certificate is supposed to be a paper print out and not in the register receipt. This was such a hassle because the printer didn't print out. I think 3 employees had to get involved to figure this out. It turned out the certificate printed at different printer far away and not the service desk.


They initially tried to BS me and say oh that's the Black Friday deal $100 off ¢549 so $449 and $70 trade in yields $379.

Edit: clarify ps5 disc drive VS digital only.

The SKU with the trade in promo shows no stock online but they definitely have stock at my local best buy as a different SKU without the trade in promo has them in stock. Anyone try just walking in and getting the promo?

It is amazing the variation between stores. I just went to do the trade in at my local store. They indicated their trade in system was not working. I called another store and they claimed their trade in and return systems were not online purposely so they could focus on customer experience for the black friday holiday. Yet there's tons of people here indicating this worked as recent as today. Sigh

Only get this deal if you're absolutely sure. Once you trade in, you're locked in. There is no going back. You will lose your PS4 and you have no other option except to buy PS5 with the 100$ extra credit. No chance to return and undo trade in afaik
