The credit is a deal, but not the price of the PS5 and PS5 Pro. Silly tariffs basically cancel out the credit. PS5 summer bundle was $349. We should have been at $300 by now for holiday sales.

Got this yesterday to only play Gran Turismo.

I had a PS4 with a 500 GB hard drive, not 1000 GB and they still took it. About $500 for a PS5pro, not bad at all. 170$ for a 12-13 year old PS4 is awesome.

Dont forget to wipe out your old device before trade-ing in.

Best buy is running this promotion. Not Game Stop. I'm trying to wrap my head around this because it sounds exactly like a Game Stop promotion and AFAIK, Best Buy has never run such a promotion before. I wonder what they are going to do with all of the trade-ins?

I turned off as blockers on my browser and the Trade In box appeared

But too late because it appears sold out!

They can't reduce the MSRP of the PS5 but they can still throw a bone. People are willing to wait if the know price has been lower. They're lessing willing to wait when has requirements. Best Buy will recoup maybe 30 percent of what they're giving as discount. Console used to lose leaders, they aren't anymore and company can see people will buy it anyways even if they jack up the price. It's same lesson alot of frozen food and coke learned during COVID - they vastly underestimated what people were willing to pay for convenience and good product, for this case Coca Cola, and specifically for Sony, the PS5

Pretty good deal considering the PS5s are "on sale" and of course if you have a PS4 laying around to trade. Also there's thing like AMEX $25 off and doordash 10% discount on BB GCs to help knock a few more bucks off.

I do have a PS4 collecting dust, but I also have 2 PS5s already - 1 for the kids, 1 for me. Still too much of a cost delta to justify a PS5 Pro for my uses.

The best trade-in PS5 deal was 2023's GameStop Xbox Series-X almost exactly even trade for a fat PS5 Disc edition. I paid all of $35 after tax to switch from a Series-X to a PS5. No regrets.
