I had a PS4 with a 500 GB hard drive, not 1000 GB and they still took it. About $500 for a PS5pro, not bad at all. 170$ for a 12-13 year old PS4 is awesome.
Dont forget to wipe out your old device before trade-ing in.

Best Buy's PS4 trade in promo can make a PS5 or PS5 Pro much cheaper, especially when the $100 bonus stacks with the console value and the right SKU is in stock. The strongest reports show smooth in store pickups, quick scans, and totals around $300 to $325 for a PS5 Slim or about $380 to $508 for a PS5 Pro, with some orders also benefiting from PayPal cash back or gift card discounts. The main friction is that the trade in option only appears on certain listings, stock moves fast, and some stores need manager help or a return and repurchase to apply the credit. A solid upgrade path if you can match the right listing and process.

I'm not a young dad; I can understand someone who games a lot more than I do seeing the benefit of a PS5
The $100 credit is shown on my reciept as a coupon but for the other $70 credit the associate took a new BB gift card, loaded it with $70, and then applied that to my purchase. So my total was $349 + tax ($28), but after the $70 gift card was applied my net cost/payment was $308.
Definitely sounds like the easier process is doing everything in store. Unfortunately, the trade-in promo wasn't showing for me online except with a single in-store location and I thought it'd work best doing it online before going through the hassle of clearing the PS4 storage and bringing it in.
Lost some cashback but as long as they have them in the stock, you'll be able to complete the trade in.

Does it "have" to be the 1TB that you're trading in, or can it be the 500GB A model? I've seen multiple people claiming they've traded theirs in without verification that it's a 1TB, and on the BB trade-in site, it doesn't say 1TB - it just drops down to a Playstation 4 only. Any help would be much appreciated. Clarification - I will be doing this in-store, the item is in stock, I will be trading in an A model 500GB PS4, and the store is 40 minutes from me, so I'd like to have all of my ducks in a row before proceeding there this weekend. Thanks!
