Taxes for me is $46.25 .. it might be worth buying $600 GCs instead of $500.
Logic:
$500 GC but then you pay $46.25 in cash.

Alternate:
$600 GC then you have leftover balance of $53.75

Difference:
You paid $80 in cash instead of $46.25 but that extra $33.75 got you $53.75 in balance.

That may be great deal for a lot of people.

Here's a couple of "hacks" to save some additional money when using Nintendo GCs for eShop games.

1. While in the eShop, click on your profile settings and change your billing zip code to a state with no sales tax. I just use a random zip code from Montana. Nintendo only goes off of that zip code when you use your available eShop balance to purchase games.

2. Nintendo game vouchers can still be purchased until the end of January and can be used on some new releases like Metroid Prime 4 and Pokemon Legends Z-A.

For example, the Switch 2 version of Metroid Prime 4 is normally $69.99. However, by using this Costco GC deal, you could get a two-pack of game vouchers on the eShop for basically $80. You can redeem one of those vouchers for the Switch 1 version of Metroid Prime, meaning you're getting the base game for $40. Then you can buy the upgrade pack separately for $9.99. So you'd have the Switch 2 version of Metroid Prime for $49.99, a savings of $20.

You can also use vouchers in a similar manner for good savings on older titles with Switch 2 versions. For example, the Switch 2 version of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is normally $79.99. However, using this Costco GC deal, you can use a a voucher to get the base version of the game for $40, and then buy the the upgrade pack separately for $9.99, for a total of $49.99 and a $30 savings.

For those that haven't received their order yet, mine was stuck for hours. I just chatted with an agent in the app and immediately received my codes afterwards. Find contact us, chat, it'll give you a virtual assistant at first, type speak to agent -- they did a verification through a text and all was good.

Didn't pull the trigger with the sams deal and now Costco is tempting me Getting this discount on the console would be great but I just know Nintendo will drop a new model in a few years and I'll definitely want to get that instead.
Yea but what about the model that comes out 3 years after that one?

$70 games is why I'm sitting out switch 2 until I can get it for $250 ish
Unfortunately they aren't going back down from $70. They've already crossed that line. No going back. And by the time the Switch 2 is $250 the hardware will be obsolete. I think if you're interested in the Switch 2 at all this generation this is the deal to jump on.

Wish this was live during the Sam's Club deal, that was sent as 25 x $20 cards and that took long enough due to Nintendo time limiting my redemptions

UPDATE: After about 7 hours since my order, I decided to chat for support. They had to work with the back-end order support team which took a while. Total chat time end to end was 30 minutes. They manually pushed the order through for me and I got the egift cards e-mailed once they did that within like 1 minute. Good luck to those waiting, I'd suggest doing the same because there really is no reason this shouldn't email out within minutes.

So in total I did two different orders. qty 10 of $25x4 GCs (e-mailed in minutes) and qty of $50x4 GCs (the order which was stuck).

Everyone I know with a switch is getting egift cards for xmas lol.

I did the PayPal deal. Works out to the same. Except Costco offers 2 yr warranty instead of usual 1 yr warranty and has extended returns.
How are you using PayPal with Costco? Or did you use the Pay in 4 with Nintendo?

This is what most people are saying but you know the fanboys need to have one now. I thought about it but after seeing the reviews the Switch 2 is not a massive upgrade from the Switch OLED.
The Switch 2 is a massive upgrade from the OLED. The OLED isn't much of an upgrade from the OG switch. Just the screen and battery life. I expect much of the same from the OLED switch 2. Plus it will be even more expensive and you'll lose time using the console. IMO if you're interested in the Switch 2 at all this is the deal to get in on. It's still early in the generation so you have a lot of time to use it. The MKW bundle is limited. And like we've seen recently these console companies are more than willing to increase prices instead of dropping them. Even on old hardware.

Couldn't people use PayPal 20% off coupon to buy console/accessories/games at other store and save 20% on all?

100% recommend this if you are waiting. They said that if I hadn't called, no one would have let me know, and they would have canceled it. The person I spoke with was able to get it pushed through production and she said I should have it in 1-2 hours. Fingers crossed...
Update: 45 minutes after this I got the codes. I just put in the order on Nintendo's website...so fingers crossed that part goes well!
