Taxes for me is $46.25 .. it might be worth buying $600 GCs instead of $500.
Logic:
$500 GC but then you pay $46.25 in cash.

Alternate:
$600 GC then you have leftover balance of $53.75

Difference:
You paid $80 in cash instead of $46.25 but that extra $33.75 got you $53.75 in balance.

That may be great deal for a lot of people.

Here's a couple of "hacks" to save some additional money when using Nintendo GCs for eShop games.

1. While in the eShop, click on your profile settings and change your billing zip code to a state with no sales tax. I just use a random zip code from Montana. Nintendo only goes off of that zip code when you use your available eShop balance to purchase games.

2. Nintendo game vouchers can still be purchased until the end of January and can be used on some new releases like Metroid Prime 4 and Pokemon Legends Z-A.

For example, the Switch 2 version of Metroid Prime 4 is normally $69.99. However, by using this Costco GC deal, you could get a two-pack of game vouchers on the eShop for basically $80. You can redeem one of those vouchers for the Switch 1 version of Metroid Prime, meaning you're getting the base game for $40. Then you can buy the upgrade pack separately for $9.99. So you'd have the Switch 2 version of Metroid Prime for $49.99, a savings of $20.

You can also use vouchers in a similar manner for good savings on older titles with Switch 2 versions. For example, the Switch 2 version of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is normally $79.99. However, using this Costco GC deal, you can use a a voucher to get the base version of the game for $40, and then buy the the upgrade pack separately for $9.99, for a total of $49.99 and a $30 savings.

Are Physical games better if you want to sell the console in the future, or that doesn't matter?

No tricks at all to get it to work? Buy gift card, go to Nintendo.com and add S2 bundle to cart, checkout and add GCs. That easy?

Received the GC exactly around 23 hours later. Luckily the rest are smooth including redeem at Nitendo and purchase the switch 2 with this discount.

After my $500 GC order was cancelled, I had one $100 GC and one $200 GC go through. I tried placing more orders (100, then 200, then 100), but all of them were cancelled. So right now I only have $300 worth of GC, or $50 discount so far, though of course I would prefer the full $100. I'm just worried Nintendo might pull the Switch and Mario Kart bundle, plus the hassle of these cancellations. Any ideas on how to get the rest, or is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Save your money for Steam Machine or Steam Deck 2. Switch 2 exclusive game library embarrassingly bad. Switch can play nearly everything 2 offers.

Yes, but you add the gift cards to your account first (so you have $600 in credit) and when you go to check out, you simply apply store credit funds.

After 6 orders, 2 immeditate cancellations 3 wait and nothing, I finally got them.

Immediate cancellations are "Billing Address" not matching membership address.

No clue what the long, but before 24 hour delays are. One of the 3 was cancelled after about 20 hours. The remainder I cancelled.

What finally worked. Went into membership info. Made everything match my billing info on the credit card.

Waited overnight and called costco.com customer service. Hope you get a friendly knowlegeable person. Let them know you updated everything to match and it is stuck in "Digital Hold"

They will type it all up to send to a supervisor to authorize release. 30 minutes you should get them in email.

Good luck
