if you are going to activate the cellular line, Verizon has $300 trade-in credit good for Apple Smartwatch Series 1, which ends up making this watch $499 instead of $799 in the long term. If you are going to use it with Bluetooth only, this is pretty good for an Ultra 3

Apple Watch Ultra 3 stands out here as a rugged GPS and cellular smartwatch with the biggest appeal in deal stacking and price drops. The watch is described as especially useful for runs because it lets you leave the phone at home, and the Titanium Milanese loop option is included in the discount. Pricing chatter centers on the $679 sale, open box excellent units around $580, and extra savings through PayPal, Uber Eats, or DoorDash promos. The main caveats are the added cellular subscription cost and the short 14 day return window for an activatable device, making it a better fit if you will actually use the watch line.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes. Several comments describe stacking the purchase with PayPal cashback, and others mention Uber Eats or DoorDash discounts for additional savings. One open-box Ultra 3 example dropped to about $465 after 20% back.

  • Yes. Activating a Verizon cellular line can pair with a $300 trade-in credit for an Apple Watch Series 1, bringing the long-term cost to about $499 instead of $799. If you plan to use Bluetooth only, the deal is still a solid Ultra 3 price.

    mghazzimghazzi

  • Yes. Other band configurations are also marked down by $120, not just the titanium case version.

    brent1988sher

  • Yes, the thread notes it was $799 earlier the same day and that $679 is the cheapest price seen so far. That price drop was enough for at least one shopper to buy immediately.

    MSG123

  • The return window is only 14 days because it is an activatable device. That makes it worth checking carrier activation and sizing before ordering.

Ebay has lot of "Excellent Refurb" Ultra 2 options at $420 (Amazing Wireless as a seller). Comes with 1-yr ebay/Allstate warranty. With the 20% paypal cashback promo it comes to $335 (assuming you havent used it already). You can also use it paying for this Ultra 3 at bestbuy, so it becomes $550.

I am still using apple watch with no cellular plan. Is there real benefit of it? I could have traded in but opted in buying watch separately so that i dont add another subscription to my life.

Cellular line is $7.50 for service and ~$6.50(varies by state) in regulatory fees and taxes.
So $500 for the watch plus $500 for service and fees over 3 years.
I'd only get this from VZW if it was $200-300 or better yet free as I'd be paying $500 for service.

Open box excellent for the titanium model dropped to $580, which puts it at $454 (43% off retail) when combined with the PayPal cash back promo. Not too shabby for a 2 month old Apple product

Just FYI, open box in excellent condition is only $580. That's the cheapest I've ever seen it. Just ordered it.

If you're like me and already bought at 699 from Amazon. I just sent them a chat asking for price adjust and they gave me a $25 promotional credit on next eligible purchase sold/shipped by Amazon

What's your battery health at? I have the Ultra 1 too but my battery life is down to 24-30 hours (without always on display) In terms of tech, I'd agree that not much has changed here ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I like it when I go for a run because I can leave my phone at home. Definitely not a necessity though.
