This CanvasTV stands out as an art style TV with a matte finish, slim wall mount, and a design that opens up living room space. The built in artwork looks great, the picture is described as strong for the price, and the set draws plenty of compliments. The included mount is easy to install, and the TV can switch into art mode when powered off. Caveats center on Google TV stability and some reports of random reboots or choppy playback, though the UI itself is often described as fine.
Living room decorators wanting a framed art display, because the matte art mode looks fantastic and the set draws compliments while saving wall space.
Buyers who want a thin wall-mounted TV with easy setup, because the included mount is simple to install and the set can be placed flush on the wall.
Streamers using an external box, because apps missing from the built-in platform work fine and the TV remote can still control the box.
Shoppers who want a premium picture upgrade over other art TVs, because the panel is described as edge-lit and not clearly better than comparable Hisense or TCL models.
Viewers expecting rock-solid Google TV stability, because the set can reboot randomly and playback can become choppy until it is power-cycled.
People mounting near recessed outlets or needing easy rear access, because a flush install can leave the cord exposed and make HDMI connections awkward.

I have some bigger plans for redoing the wall where the TV would go, so I'd be setting it on the TV console until I'm ready to wall mount it.

While I haven't double checked the specs, I tend to prefer external streaming devices for their snappiness and support for formats I enjoy (Atmos, Dolby Vision, etc.).
The video playback would also be choppy at times, you would need to turn off/on the TV again to fix it.
Samsung/Tizen isn't perfect, but definitely don't remember as many random reboots or choppy videos. Similarly AppleTV has been great (and NO ads!!).

We just got this a couple days ago and mounted it. Didn't have a flush or recessed outlet where we hung it up, so you can the cord but it does look great.
Anyone else who has this... is there an easy way to plug in an HDMI cable without having to remove it from the wall? I'm waiting for a slim cable to be delivered and didn't have it at the time we mounted it. In retrospect, I should have waited for that cable but was too anxious to get it up on the wall lol.
