PayPal CashBack Deal Instructions:
Open the PayPal app on your phone (or go to the PayPal website if you're using a browser)
Navigate to the PayPal Rewards section
Look for the offer that says "20% cash back on pay later purchases with PayPal through December 2nd 11:59PM PST"
Once you find it, there should be a "Save offer" button. Tap or click that to activate the offer.
After saving it, make sure you use PayPal Pay Later at checkout (choose "Pay Later" when you pay) to be eligible.

Notes:
  • You will have to get the AMS separately to keep the total order amount under $1,500 (Orders over $1500 don't qualify for the 20% cash back).

Anyone tested this? Been looking at the p2s and this would certainly help make that decision. I do see the 20% reward in PayPal though, so perhaps worth a try...

Yes, I saw the P2S and was thinking about that, but then saw the conversations over on that thread about the H2S. I tried it and seemed to work. My PayPal account shows I have 25000 points pending for the H2S transaction. Just make sure to get the base kit, without the AMS or laser, and you should be fine. I got the AMS separately for $250, so all in I am at $1250 for the combo after the cash back hits my account.

Since the product is backordered and shipment is expected in Jan 2026, will PayPal honor the cashback? Are you charged now for the backorder?

Yes, when I purchased H2S + smooth PEI plate i got immediately charged ~$350. 12 days later (today) I received the reward. Then I paid the rest of the loan using Chase Freedom CC with 5% cash back. Not sure if I'm going to receive 5% but if I will that would be great. I was smart enough to use the offer on multiple accounts, but unfortunately my first purchase for 3 x ams 2 pro units + filament was significantly below $1250.

PayPal is the 5% cashback category for December. You can't use the chase card to initially take out the loan though because chase stopped allowing buy now pay later at least for PayPal with their credit cards because they don't think you should be able to pay debt with debt.

For those still thinking about this, I emailed PayPal rewards and they emailed me back confirming the points for this transaction had been applied and the cash back should hit my account by the 10th. I am not sure why the P2S version of this deal was so highly regarded, and this version which maxes out the reward for a superior product was downvoted, but I hope that some of you got to benefit from this.

The PayPal deal is supposed to be active for another 3 hours but I don't see the offer in the Rewards section of the app anymore. I guess I waited too long to pull the trigger.

Same I don't see it anymore on my page. I was waiting till midnight west coast time. This afternoon it was in my saved offers. Oh well I did use a 20% rewards in November on google nest purchase at least
