Remember, "Puffer style", "Puffer vests" and all other iterations of this are all cheap knockoffs. True "Puffer" vests are made with down or feathers where those cross-seams that appear all over the garment are integral to keeping the material from bunching.

There is not much of a reason other than fashion or style to keep this type of stitching for purely synthetic materials. Any of the cheapest synthetic jacket or vest would be on-par with this. It's like a fashion-forward trash bag, if even that.
