Also adds wireless charging and Live Translation and speaker for Find My. Probably worth $19 in my opinion

It's not fantastic ANC but it is noticeable and actually nice to have - and/or transparency mode as well.

Community Reviews

AirPods 4 with ANC are being treated as a comfortable, non in ear option with useful noise cancellation and a feature set that adds wireless charging, Live Translation, and a Find My speaker. ANC is described as noticeably effective for fans, cars, air conditioners, airplane noise, and loud gyms, while transparency mode and the fit get praise too. The main drawbacks are that the microphones for calls are weak, stem volume control is missing, and the ANC version can cost more than the base model. A solid pick if you want AirPods convenience without silicone tips.

  • Wireless charging and Live Translation add practical everyday convenience.

  • ANC noticeably reduces loud background noise like a bathroom vent fan.

    techteacher

  • The ANC version can help drown out airplane noise during travel.

    auxiliary

  • AirPods 4 can be more comfortable than AirPods Pro originals for some use cases.

    krwshl

  • Call microphones are described as atrocious for voice pickup.

    LanceDanceRevolution

  • ANC can create a potential point of failure because the ANC microphones are small.

    Trukyatto

  • One ANC unit reportedly developed reduced volume in one earbud after purchase.

  • Some orders arrive with packaging issues like a broken seal and visible dirt marks.

Best buy needs to price match!
They are now, they just exclude Black Friday through Cyber Monday. I just had them match Amazon successfully.

Slickdeals has went down the drain. It's now full of garbage paid adds. It reminds me of how Woot was ruined. 80% of the stuff on this site is not a good deal. I mean hell, they cant even be honest with you about the regular price. (This is nothing against this deal but just a general frustration)

Not worth it. Only costs $8 to make. See all the recent threads on Slickdeals for knock-off brands with ANC selling for < $30.

I upgraded from the 3 to the 4 ANC because my gym is so loud. Totally worth it.

I bought the ANC and was glad I paid extra. It seems to drown out the airplane noise when on travel.
