This ACEMAGIC mini PC stands out as a compact 8745HS system with 32GB DDR5, a 1TB PCIe 4 SSD, and enough speed for daily use, media, and light gaming. The price is described as strong for this CPU and memory combo, especially versus other recent 8745HS and 8845HS deals. USB4 is confirmed on the USB C port, which helps offset the lack of Oculink. The main caution is ACEMAGIC's past malware controversy, so a fresh Windows reinstall is the safest setup. Small form factor limits still apply, especially for heavier gaming and cooling.

  • The mini PC can support Proxmox use cases because it includes 32GB DDR5 RAM.

  • The USB-C port can provide USB4 up to 40Gbps based on seller confirmation.

  • The USB port lineup can include multiple USB 3.2 Gen2 and Gen1 Type-A ports alongside USB4.

  • The system can work well for daily use and media consumption despite small-form-factor limits.

  • The device can carry pre-installed malware risk that may require a clean Windows reinstall to fully remove.

  • The lack of USB4 and Oculink can limit expansion options compared with some higher-end mini PC setups.

  • Checkout can fail due to sold-out status even when the same PC remains available at a higher price elsewhere.

  • The listing and checkout pricing can mismatch, including an advertised image price that differs from the final discounted price.

Junk product, unreliable brand. I have very bas experience with this mini pc. Would recommend to stay away from it.Also malware risk.
Which model and when - if it was more than 2 years ago may not be relevant anymore - all I read are good reviews on diff platforms - eBay, Amazon, direct, aliexpress - u have your typical 5% who are going to unhappy with every product

As for malware since they have been under additional scrutiny I would feel better about them than others

Can't the malware be removed by simply re-installing the OS?

Yes it can, probably not necessary but definitely a good idea to do a fresh install when you get it. Like others have said there were a few instances from a few years ago where allegedly in an attempt to reduce boot times a vulnerability was created and 2 viruses were found. The company apologized and took steps to rectify it. Most of the bad comments are from sour users who are experts on being miserable and little else.

No USB4 or Oculink is not cool.

You could jerry-rig oculink, but these ports should be default by now.

This is a good little one for the kids, plus the small factor is nice too

The USB ports info is conflicting.

The seller did confirm the following for me USB-C: The USB-C port is USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A (10Gbps), and the system also includes USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports (4 ports at 5Gbps). USB Ports: For the USB 3.2 ports, we have 2 x Gen2 (10Gbps, front) and 4 x Gen1 (5Gbps, rear) ports. That said for S3A model in 2025 usb-c has been a usb4 so won't know for sure till I get it. This listing seems to be more accurate to what the seller communicated to me vs conflicting info in listing

For this price and 32GB ram and 1TB PCIe 4 NVME SSD, and all the other features, at this time, although I agree not having usb4 and oculink is a bummer I have to take it.

I don't have an immediate use case for usb4 and oculink but hopefully this gets me to time when ssd and ram prices r more reasonable and then u upgrade

I bought the Kamrui branded one for $346 from the same seller. Specs are the same. It was great for daily use, media consumption but overheated while gaming and that caused a lot of stuttering in games. With DDR5 memory prices being as ridiculous as they are now, it might be a good option so long as you understand the limitations of such a small power house.

I tried looking on marketplace but was not having much luck.
Yup...

Not surprising. I got my RAM about two - three weeks ago... the news stories about the shortage were their but not like now. And prices seemed to jump higher with each article written.

When the computer companies run out of their stock... which is happening now... I think we will see higher prices with all PC's in the near future.

Can't say for sure but these guys sell thousands and they are specially advertising the cooling features of this rig. Kamrui I think is still a smaller house brand

Do they provide key for Windows 11 Pro, so that it could be reinstalled?
