I and hundreds of others have gotten this HD10 Slate deal before. Actually using it rn
Happy to dm pic if needed, but definitely can confirm. Also look up past Slickdeals threads and you'll see that others also confirmed. If I recall correctly, a woot representative confirmed that "Slate" color option (which isn't a valid color for the non plus version) is a plus version, in one of the earlier threads.
GLHF!

This Fire HD 10 deal stands out as a cheap large screen tablet for media, kids, comics, photo frames, and home dashboard use. The slate color variant is repeatedly confirmed as the Fire HD 10 Plus with 4GB of RAM, and Fire Toolbox or sideloaded Play Store support can make it more usable for browsing, streaming, and simple apps. The main drawback is speed, with repeated reports of sluggish performance, memory limits, and weak long term support. USB C hub charging is also problematic, and the tablet is best suited to light, mostly passive use.
Parents setting up a kid-safe streaming tablet, because it handles PBS Kids, Netflix, and YouTube Kids well when used for light, mostly passive screen time.
Home dashboard and camera-monitor setups, because it works fine as a glanceable display for Home Assistant, Fully Kiosk, and Wyze feeds.
People wanting a cheap digital photo frame, because it can boot straight into a picture-frame app and is cheaper than dedicated frames.
Comic and graphic-novel readers, because the larger color screen works well for downloaded comics and calibre-web downloads.
People who need smooth web browsing or multitasking, because it can reload pages, run one app at a time, and feel extremely sluggish.
Users who want USB-C hub docking with charging and peripherals, because the port implementation lacks proper pass-through and can trigger a moisture-detected shutdown.
People who need a tablet for custom Android installs or Fire Toolbox-free modding, because root and bootloader unlock are unavailable and some hacking paths are patched.
Buyers expecting long-term software support, because there are no security or OS updates and newer Fire tablets cannot be rooted or bootloader-unlocked.

edit: please see my reply further down. My comment is about the specific USB-C implementation on these tablets, which is not compatible with most Type C hubs.

These are paperweights. Both before and after fire toolbox it didn't have the horsepower to browse the web with a single tab.
