I was just checking what cyber Monday deal Pepboys has, and found they are offering 50% off in-stock FVP Platinum batteries. They had one I need. Pay online and do installation ($20) or pickup ($22 core charge). Be sure to specify your preferred store at the top.

Thanks OP. Timing of your post could not be more perfect. I have an old car with a battery that had a 8 years old battery and recently failed twice to atart the car. I went ahead and replaced with this deal. Cost me around $144 total with installation and tax for a $200 original msrp battery. Do you know any review about this brand?

I did some google searching this afternoon -- didn't find too much, but no red flags. I think it's a lesser known brand, but with lead-acid batteries there are only a few manufacturers who put different brand names on them. I've got a Gold battery from Advance Auto in my truck, installed in 2012 that still cranks it, while I've had others die exactly when the warranty expires.

I'm glad to know the timing was good for you!

Yeah, it has 30 months warranty. So wont have to worry for 2.5 years. But my interstate battery was awesome, it lasted more than 7 years.
