I am new to hi-fi speakers and initially was considering the Wharfedale Diamond 12.3 or 12.4. This deal seems great and I love the looks of the Gaia, but am tempted by the lower excursion of the Boreas. This will be for movies primarily and some occasional music. I don't plan to add a subwoofer...but am open to the idea in the future...maybe an SVS Micro 3000 if I do. Thanks for sharing advice and any experience between the Gaia and Borea floorstanders.

I went ahead and bought the center from Adorama a couple of weeks later. Then found a deal on the Borea BR02s and got two pairs at $299/pr for surrounds off Amazon. Now I just need to get home and set everything up!!
