lol the way this has slowly rolled out across retailers shows that there was some sort of last minute memo from nintendo allowing people to reduce prices for Cyber Monday. Sales probably not as strong as they had hoped.

It was super easy.
You order the gift cards like you would any other item you buying online. You wait up to 24 hours for them to email you. You copy/paste the codes they send you into a box on Nintendo's site. You add the switch to cart like you would any other online product and when it asks if you want I apply the gift cards to your total you click OK. Easy.

Total time spent in this should not have taken more than 5 mins total.

The Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle stands out as a strong launch package, especially when paired with Best Buy price matching or PayPal 20 percent cashback, which can bring the effective cost down by about $50 to $90. The console itself gets praise for solid build quality, excellent rumble, and social features like Game Chat, while the bundle is framed as a better value than buying the system and game separately. The main drawback is the price, especially once extra storage and $60 to $80 games are factored in. A solid bundle if you can catch one of the stacking discounts.

Common Questions (5)

  • The PayPal Pay in 4 payments can be refunded or reduced when Best Buy issues a price adjustment, and the remaining installments may be lowered accordingly. Pending points also showed up after checkout for some purchases, so the promo can still track even if the order total changes.

  • Yes, Pay in 4 has been used successfully on this bundle, and PayPal can adjust the installment amounts after a refund or price match. Keeping the order simple helps, because add-ons like extended insurance, trade-ins, or gift-card partial payments can interfere with eligibility.

    PhoKinG408JaxidianJaxidiangrendel20

  • A workaround mentioned is ordering Best Buy through Uber Eats and paying with Uber Eats gift cards bought at Costco, since those gift cards are discounted. The catch is that Uber Eats pricing for the bundle was reported at $499 and may not include Mario Kart World, so the final value can differ from the Best Buy deal.

  • Best Buy can price match its own lower price within the regular return window, and one reported adjustment refunded about $50 on this bundle. The holiday extended return period may not count, so the timing appears to depend on the standard 14- or 30-day window tied to membership.

  • It may not appear as a confirmed discount during checkout, but the pending points can still show in PayPal history right after purchase. That makes the promo easy to miss on-screen even when it is actually attached to the order.

I used the paypal 20% off pay in 4 promo to purchase this a week or so ago. Does anyone know if I get a price adjustment through best buy, will the pay in 4 still go through. It brought the total down to $400 previously using the Pay in 4.

Best Buy will price match themselves if you're within the return window. I don't think they count the extended holiday returns so its the regular 14 or 30 days depending on your membership with them.
As for the 20% PayPal Promo, they also refunded me the difference to it so I'm hoping it won't mess with the points minus the obvious $50 difference. But the only way to tell is to wait I guess.

It should, I got a refund for my s25 ultra, the refund was taken out of the pay in 4, so my final payment is less the refund, and I read the terms, it didn't say anything about getting partial refund

Does it show that the 20% will apply before you purchase?

Ended up purchasing without seeing the 20% discount confirmation on checkout, but I see the pending points in PayPal history.

I was figuring there would have to be a sale. Stores have had cases full of these things for a couple of months. They are just too expensive, especially when you factor in extra storage and game key prices.

I was debating on doing the GC tour. But I never have any luck when it comes to redeeming GC. Not worth the $50 hassle.

Costco canceled my order from yesterday this morning (3 $200 gift cards). I live chatted and they said they had issues yesterday and to place a new order. I placed an order for 2 $200 gift cards and 2 $100 gift cards and paid the same price. The codes were delivered in an hour and 10 minutes. Ordering through Nintendo's website brought the total to $535, which leaves me almost enough left over to get Donkey Kong with only the gift card balance. I spent $480 and will spend less than ~$10 more to get the game. Still a better deal that this Best Buy one, if you're willing to put in the time. If you go that route, just know that you will get a ton of codes you have to redeem on the Nintendo website, which takes a little extra time.
