Community Reviews

These AirPods Pro 3 open box units are drawing attention for strong value, especially when promo codes or Venmo checkout drop the price well below retail. The main appeal is that many pairs appear to be genuine, with Apple serial checks, working features, and in several cases AppleCare plus coverage running into 2028. Cosmetic wear is common, though, with beat up boxes, micro scratches, and occasional signs of prior use. The biggest caution is authenticity and Find My behavior, since some pairs need resets or purchase date updates while others are returned as mismatches or fakes, making this a higher risk open box buy.

  • Some units reportedly include AppleCare+ coverage through late 2028 after purchase-date updates.

    TwincHthedov

  • Serial-number checks and Apple registration reportedly work, with Find My and features functioning after setup.

    bjdwasheresix.four

  • The deal can drop the checkout price to about $144.99 using Venmo payment.

    aboynamedjoshua

  • The purchase flow can add app coupons that bring the shipped total to around $151.

    busteddeals

  • Apple-certified status can be unclear because the warranty may come from Allstate instead.

    nineheadjt-cali

  • Find My pairing and location behavior can fail, including mismatch or setup incomplete errors.

    rowGeorge_P_Burdell

  • Open-box units may arrive with cosmetic wear such as scuffs, dirt, or earwax.

    TheChosenWang

  • PayPal checkout may not offer the Pay in 4 or 20% option, which can force cancellation.

Idk how to tell yall. BUT DO NOT
EVER BUY ANY USED / OPEN BOX AirPods. 80% of them are scams and I have been scammed thru the AirPods Pro's 3 thru EBay and BEST BUY. Trust me spend the extra $50-100 and get the real official brand new pair and save yourself a favor in the future.

Can AppleCare be added to open box AirPods?
The ones I got from a deal 2 weeks ago came with a 2yr+ AppleCare+ attached to the device. Those were probably returns from Costco that has AppleCare+ bundled with them. They also came w/ a 1yr Allstate warranty (but probably useless since it has AppleCare+). Don't know if quickshipelectronics just resells returns from Costco or how to check if they are (without buying them).

This is so true. I just bought refurbished ones on Amazon on BF, and turned out to be fakes. Took it to the Apple Store verify.

eBay has jumped the shark. It used to be awesome for buying fenced goods. This QVC model, holy hell! Let's ignore the 11% fee charged on combined shipping + buyer's sales tax rate for a minute...

I am curious, what was fake about your Amazon purchase? The charging case or the pods themselves?

Dude... open box 3rd gen are 99% fake lol. It's a ploy to make them sound real and then when people find out they're fake, they can say "oh dang, the customer must have returned fake ones and we didn't know". It protects the company/seller from a lawsuit.... in other words DO NOT BUY OPEN BOX APPLE PRODUCTS! Cheers
