Are there any shortcuts for getting on this deal for someone currently not on Metro? Sounds like one needs to be with Metro for 30 days before ordering this.

You can add a new line / Bring your own device with eSIM Sign up for cheapest plan $25
Then sign up for the watch line for $40.
I did the same thing for the Samsung A9+ Tablet promo they do periodically (free tablet, $20 line charge)
And if you feel like splurging you can pay $65 for their highest plan to get a free phone that unlocks in year.
Put that idea on steroids, for $125 here's the cheapest/best budget Samsung Gear at metro ->
Interesting idea, thank you. Is it one watch line per phone line, or one can order a few? I was able to order three tabs per my temporary phone line 1.5 yrs ago when A9+ went for sale for $20. Have not made any Metro orders since then.

Personally I've not ordered the Samsung watch nor any watches from metro.
I don't know if they require you to have a cell line attached to the watch line as well, or if it's allowed as a standalone line.
I'd say based off your experience, being able to order 3 tablets with just one cell line - it seems like they want/are in need of adding lines?
If you decide to do it, keep us informed - would be curious to know about watch lines, as you've confirmed that we can order multiple tablets via one cell line tyty
So if we get this watch can it be just be used as just a smartwatch with my S22U unlocked phone on Total and use it similar to an Apple watch and IPhone? Just get messages, notifications, etc. when paired with my S22U?

Sweet. I'm going to try to activate my I phone 13 I got from them that I was planning to unlock but they switched to the new longer unlock period so I stopped. Now I can hopefully reactivate that phone and then add this watch and tablet.
I seem to recall them saying I couldn't add a new line until my previous add a line was delivered.
Anyone know if these watches are carrier locked,,,?
Do these watches have any metro specific bloatware installed on them, metro splash screen on startup, etc that can't be removed? Also interested in knowing if it's carrier locked to metro and if so, if it would unlock after a year like the phones supposedly do.
And just so I understand, is the cheapest this could be bought is $65 ($25 byod + $40 watch/plan)?

It says.. Get a Galaxy Watch7 for $29.99
This offer is for customers who have been with Metro for at least 30 days. You'll need to pay any applicable sales tax. Limit 4 per account. A Metro smartphone line is required. This is a limited-time offer and, like everything else in this crazy world, is subject to change.
Today is the last day for the Razr 2024 I got with the 1 month of service….so I was deciding between the A9+ Tablet for $20, This for $43, or a Moto Stylus 2025 for $35.
I ended up going with this since I didn't need the other two. I was hoping the option for another device might still be available, but it doesn't seem like it is. After I put the order in it says I am no longer eligible for an additional line.

How much time was required in between orders? Were you able to place them one after the other?

I don't know, but I got one to try for that exact purpose. Will report back with findings.

I paid $29.99 for the watch + $10 for the first month of the smartwatch line (Metro charges the first month up front), so the total came to $41.79 with tax.
When the order goes through, Metro automatically creates a new line for you. In the app it shows up as "Phone-first Unknown Device" until the watch arrives. You can't edit the line or change anything yet, but that's normal. It's already active in billing, but not activated on a device because the watch isn't shipped/paired yet.
The $10/mo plan is called Connected Smartwatch. It basically gives the watch its own LTE number so you can use it without your phone. Metro bills you right away, even though the watch isn't connected yet, but everything unlocks once the watch arrives and you activate it.
As far as cancelling the line later: you fully own the watch since you paid for it upfront. Once the watch arrives and activates, you should be able to cancel the line if you don't want to keep paying monthly. The watch itself won't be locked, it's not like Metro's phone promos where you owe anything if you stop service.
I'll update this post again once the watch arrives and I test the activation, LTE, cancellation options, etc.
