I accidentally ran over extension cord with my snow blower. The cord wrapped tightly around my snow blower's auger. This cut through the exterior extension cord with ease. Now really what it was made for...but it was extremely helpful.

Everybody should have a good pair of cutting pliers for occasions like that, trying to cut something too hard or low gauge with these and you'll ruin the jaws.
