It's mildly amusing that the apple fanboys would always pupu intel users when specs were brought up. Now here they are, making the same mealy mouthed arguments for why you should pay significantly more for virtually the same performance.
Huh? Same performance compared to what? An M2 iPad Pro? The M4 iPad Pro is a much more solid device than the M2 and blows that model away. There's no other iPad OS device to compare the M4 iPad Pro to other than the M5 which is essentially a chip upgrade.

Because the price match invoice didn't allow PayPal payment, I chatted with a CSR. He told me to complete the purchase at full price (i.e., not using the price match invoice link that I had been e-mailed), and then he would approve the price match on the back end. I did so. However, when he went to process the price match he said it IS eligible, but the price match is too large for him to approve immediately. He said "dispatch" would get back to me in 2-3 days approving the price match. So, I have fingers crossed that it goes through. PayPal does show I have $250 in pending cashback (i.e., 25,000 Paypal points)
Update: I'm cancelling the BB order and buying from Costco. After multiple chats with CSR's today, the BB "holiday price match policy" seems to have gone into effect, which is that they won't price match competitors until after Dec. 31. They'll only price match if BB's own price drops. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/pric...7300050000

Definitely not! Although you can use external disks via USB in theory

I've gotta say, $999 for a 13" iPad Pro with 512GB and cellular is a positively smoking deal, and is the kind of thing I was expecting to see during Black Friday but didn't.

I finally got a CSR who would do the price match at BB. But at that point, the PayPal 4-installment option no longer appeared for me. Oh well...

I'm deciding between two iPad Pro M4 models — 512GB (8GB RAM) and 1TB (16GB RAM).
Both are $700 off, but the 512GB model is $1,700 vs the 1TB model being $2,100, so the discount feels a lot bigger on the 512GB version.
For those who actually notice a real-world difference between 8GB and 16GB RAM — what are you doing on your iPad? Heavy multitasking, gaming, Procreate, video editing?
Just trying to figure out if the extra RAM is worth the price difference.
If you do, what are you doing — gaming, video editing, or something crazy heavy?

Picked up this one. Not sure there's ever been a lower price for a 13 inch nano-texture iPad? Too bad BB is OOS so can't price match.
I hope you've seen an nano texture iPad in person else you might be disappointed. It definitely cuts reflections if that's a major issue for you, but also cuts the display quality and requires a dumb special Apple cloth to clean the screen. I was gifted an iPad Pro M4 with nano and couldn't live with it and exchanged for normal screen version.

Got 5 years out of my M1 iPad Pro. Unfortunately the battery life is struggling. But that goes to show how much use it has received. Unfortunately replacing the battery and unglueing the screen to perform this is so expensive and so risky to the screen its best to just buy new.
You can get out of warranty battery service from Apple for around $150. They actually give you a replacement iPad -- they don't remove your screen.
