I'm curious if the airtags work any better, I feel like being in the suitcase reduces the range but I haven't tested it.
However, I cant comment whether or not it affects range compared to it being outside of the luggage.

But *maybe* you can use this as a decoy (either empty or with an AirTag) and go ahead and use an AirTag inside the luggage anyway.
