The 83 inch Samsung S90D is being discussed as a WOLED model, so the panel type and RTINGS coverage may not match the QD OLED version. It is backed by a 90 day warranty, with an optional Allstate two year plan for $75 and seller paid return shipping. Delivery photos are worth taking, especially with freight handling. The main cautions are a reported power supply failure on this model and mixed experiences with VIP Outlet, including defective units and difficult support. A solid large screen option if you are comfortable with the warranty and seller risk.
Common Questions (4)
The 83-inch S90D is the WOLED version, not QD-OLED. The linked RTINGS review may not match this panel because it covers a different 83-inch configuration.
The TV ships freight on a palletized trailer, which is handled differently from parcel shipping and can reduce the usual stacked-box risk. Still, delivery photos are recommended because freight handling can be rough.
A power-supply failure has been reported on this model after a few months, and another report describes a power failure just over a year later on a 77-inch S90D. Warranty service can cover it, but it is a known concern to watch for.
The deal includes a 90-day warranty, with an optional Allstate 2-year warranty for $75. Seller-paid return shipping is also mentioned, so delivery photos are worth taking.
