The 83 inch Samsung S90D is being discussed as a WOLED model, so the panel type and RTINGS coverage may not match the QD OLED version. It is backed by a 90 day warranty, with an optional Allstate two year plan for $75 and seller paid return shipping. Delivery photos are worth taking, especially with freight handling. The main cautions are a reported power supply failure on this model and mixed experiences with VIP Outlet, including defective units and difficult support. A solid large screen option if you are comfortable with the warranty and seller risk.

  • The listing's RTINGS reference may not match the 83" WOLED panel, which helps shoppers verify the correct display technology before buying.

  • The deal includes a 90-day warranty plus an optional Allstate 2-year warranty for $75, and the seller pays return shipping.

  • Samsung service reportedly fixed a power-source failure within about a week when the TV was still under warranty.

  • The TV reportedly appears much brighter than an older LG E7 when used in a dark basement.

  • A power-source failure reportedly occurred about three months after purchase, and another experience reported a power failure just over a year later.

  • The RTINGS link in the listing reportedly points to the wrong OLED model, which can lead to confusion about panel performance.

  • The 83" panel details may differ from the RTINGS review referenced in the listing, so that review may not cover the exact configuration.

  • VIP Outlet reportedly has negative feedback involving defective TVs and can be difficult to deal with during resolution.

90 day warranty and optional Allstate 2 year warranty for $75 should be included in the OP. Seller pays return shipping. Take photos upon delivery. They had 6 for sale and have 1 left. Know what a WOLED is vs QDOLED. Older vs newer tech.

There was a price mistake a few years ago my coworker ordered and we made a video of it. What we didn't show was the first one arrived and at some point someone had drove a pallet jack thru though box absolutely destroying the TV. He got an 82" 8K TV and a 75" 8K for ~$131 each.

That wasn't a price mistake. You paid for a tv with a pallet jack going through it.

How do you think it gets to a store ? Think they build them on site after they close for the night
Shipping freight on a palitized trailer from warehouse to warehouse/store is MUCH different than shipping parcels as individual packages on a trailer stacked floor to ceiling.

Man I'm so tempted. I know the S90D was like last year, but I know it's a great panel.
Anyone use it or seen one in a living room that has plenty of light coming in? Curious if it holds up well.

I have the 77 in and the qd OLED looks absolutely amazing.

I would rather get the 77 in than the wOLED at 83 in tbh

I own this tv it's great except 3 months in the power source failed. Lucky it was still under warranty and Samsung had someone come fix it within a week. Just something to consider I've read that it is a problem with this model

These are refurb TVs so it's likely what was wrong with it.

I think it would do okay, probably not nearly as good as a micro-LED though. I have mine down in the basement where its dark all the time though. It seems much brighter than my LG E7 was

Be cautious with the 77-inch S90D model. I purchased one new from Samsung's website during a promotion last year, and the TV experienced a power failure just over a year later. Samsung did not acknowledge or address the issue.

Well if anyone is still looking it looks like a few people left negatives for defective TVs and I got a mini LED TV. VIPoutlet has been a battle to deal with.
