Anyone tried them traveling on airplane? Did the noise-canceling worked excellent? I have the Sony brand, and they were better than nothing, but I can still hear the humming though.

The xm5 noise cancellation still better than this one, on airplane. But the sound quality of this one is much better.

Yup. I got on this deal also. Fantastic value and picked up their BT 700 Bluetooth dongle for $45 to go along as my Mac and iPhone don't have aptX support. They're "boomy" out of the box but set the EQ at 63 Hz to -6dB and it's much more neutral. It's a consumer tuned headset so the tuning is a bit "V" shaped but the 5 band EQ can tame it.

Sounds like you downloaded the wrong app. The Sennheiser app (Smart Control Plus) has 5 band EQ adjustment. These sound way better than the Bose QC Ultra headphones they replaced.

🤣 Wow one extra band. Still doesn't explain why the Sennheiser app stops at 8k (who thought this was a great idea?) My $90 Sony earbuds have a 5 band EQ (which is what I expect for the value) with a much clearer bass and accurate EQ adjustment. Also the "AI EQ Adjustment" or whatever it was called was awful. All it did was normalize the volume and added small peaks to certain frequencies. The multiple codecs you possibly have access too doesn't help with sound quality either. I inherited a pair of Bose QCs also and those definitely take the cake as $200+ turds. I would put the Momentum 4s, 1 tick above those. Please people, do not pay $200 for this awful waste of plastic.

My point was using the wrong app might have been your issue. The 4's I have sound amazing.

For clarification, I have the Bose QC Ultra's. Those are$300 turds 🤣
