These remasters are not perfect but they are good, and make the games much more beginner friendly. The first TR1 was a DOS game, that should tell you how special they really are. Pretty sure you can't name another Dos game you would still want to play today.
Use the Stella site and hints and walkthroughs they make the games much more enjoyable
