Depends on the hook but generally these are too big for the common hooks being sold on sale. However you can also trim it with scissors.

No. The these are plastic velcro style. Only sticky on the wall side

Good deal on these. I've tried the knock off strips and they end up ripping the paint off my wall. Have had slightly better luck with the brand stuff.

The one most people do not do is wait an hour for the adhesive to set.
