AirPods Pro 3 are being praised for stronger noise cancellation, a more secure fit, and a bassier, livelier sound than Pro 2, with transparency mode and run-friendly comfort standing out. The heart rate and translation features also add useful extras, especially for workouts and meetings. The main knocks are that the tuning can be worse for midrange-heavy music, fit still varies by ear, and battery longevity remains a concern. At this price, they look best for buyers who want Apple earbuds with improved ANC and fit.

  • The AirPods Pro 3 can provide stronger active noise cancellation for meetings and music listening.

  • The AirPods Pro 3 can feel more secure during runs and may reduce slipping compared with Pro 2.

  • The AirPods Pro 3 can offer a more improved transparency mode than Pro 2.

  • The AirPods Pro 3 can support useful workout features like translation and heart-rate monitoring.

  • The AirPods Pro 3 can deliver noticeably worse midrange sound quality compared with Pro 2 for some listeners.

  • The AirPods Pro 3 upgrade may feel not worth the extra cost versus Pro 2 when sound differences are subtle.

  • The AirPods Pro 3 fit can cause pain or blisters after wearing for a while.

  • Target promotional redemption links for Apple Music or Apple TV+ can fail by redirecting to the Target homepage instead of redeeming.

Don't forget to check your Circle Account for BONUS offers.

I've got "$10 back in Target Rewards for every $100 spent."
Yep. Stocked up on ebay, netflix, and home depot gift cards which are all eligible

Not good enough deal to bite. Especially with mixed reviews. Not sure how much more the 3s offer over the 2s
Tech reviewers say no need to upgrade from 2 to 3. The 3 fits better and I cant tell the difference in sound but noise cancellation is superb

My friend's AirPods Pro 2 lasted 3 years, then the battery wasn't lasting nearly as long. Same with her Apple Watch SE.
These are disposable headphones. Throw out after 3-4 years.

I got a good deal on these but not sure if I should keep it, because I hate knowing that it will be trash in a few years after the batteries become worn out. It's a great piece of technology and it actually stays in my ear. Can anyone comment on the longevity and repair-ability?
It like anything else containing a lithium ion battery will last 3-4 years. They're disposable. No like? Buy $10 wired headphones. Convenience, noise cancelling, and Apple ecosystem is what you're paying for

I used the $15 back on $100 apple gift card deal to buy two $100 for effectively $170. I then used the apple $50 back on AirPod to buy it, effectively for $170 before tax. I pay for iCloud so that $50 will go towards it, and I always shop at target, so the total $80 in gift cards I now have is as good as cash to me.
Exactly what I did, but since no one knows what BF discount will be offered, I just bought them the day they launched. $250-$38.50 ($100 Apple GC for $15 plus 5% cashback deal) = $211.50 before tax. These are estimates

Tried putting it in my cart via app and browser, but I don't see any discount beyond the 5%.
I don't see any Circle deal that mentions electronics, so I'm unsure what deal is being referenced here.
(I have not made any purchases at Target recently that would have "used up" any one-time deals)

If someone has a surefire method, please share.
Otherwise, this seems like a YMMV deal.
Select Target accounts. You weren't selected for the deal unfortunately

me either, not sure why
It's a mystery. I spend a lot on Target so I was surprised I got the deal easily seen in the app and site. I'd think they'd provide the deal to low spenders. Hmmm

Have to disagree. I've owned every generation of AirPods Pros and think these are the best by far. The sound is different.for sure, tuned more bassy/lively. Not everyone's cup of tea so that's far.But fit the most comfortable and secure I've experienced with any variety/version of AirPods. The Pro 2's would want to slip out of my ears after a run. The 3's are snug but I don't even realize they are in. They've yet to fell like they were falling out.The bonus feature of translation and heart rate are nice too. The latter is especially great when my AW is about to conk out just before a run. Also bad reviews of Apple products are expected. Lots of Apple hater hobbyists out there. And as for the rate of return, that's completely anecdotal because neither Apple nor any of its partners release that kind of information. Maybe your best friend is manager at a Best Buy, but that's one store of many. Moreover people return items for lots of reasons other than dissatisfaction. For example, buyer's remorse, especially with expensive items bought on emotion rather than for an actual use case.
The sound of the AP3 is objectively less accurate, and I sympathize with people whose music is heavy in the midrange. That being said, it's more way fun to listen to for electronic music now.

If you read / trust reddit, the AP3's fitting is not for everyone. It fits me well, but many reported pain and even blisters after wearing it for a while. The ANC is better than AP2, but definitely not 2X. I could achieve similar ANC level with foam tips on the AP2. Sound quality is a personal thing, and as mentioned here, it has more bass than AP2. One thing that I found to be definitely better than AP2 is the transparency mode. In the end, I returned the AP3 as it is not worth an upgrade to me.
It's important to remember that ANC is measured the same way sound loudness is. Decibels are logarithmic, so "2x more ANC" is basically 1 additional decibel reduction.

Still notable since Airpod pros have been consistently some best in class ANC, so any improvement is going to be incremental, so if you're already using APP2, the improvement is going to be marginal.

If you're frequently flying, on public transit, or working in a noisy environment it could be worth it to upgrade from APP2, but for most people it's a big surcharge to get a marginal improvement. This isn't a knock on the quality of APP3s, but more of a testament to how good the 2s are.

They removed the headphone jack, took away the free wired earbuds (and the free AC adapter), and they convinced us spending $225 on earbuds we have to charge was good for us. I bought a $7 pair of wired earbuds and plugged them in to a non-Apple device. They sound great.
My $8 USB C to headphone jack adapter has lasted for years and multiple phones. You just leave it attached to your headphone cord so you always have it.

Removing the headphone jack was annoying, but really not the insurmountable barrier to using wired headphones that people like to make it out to be.

No earbud or headphones or any kind of wearable, clothes, shoes, gadgets are ever going to please everyone. Everyone's ears are different, I mean the Pro 3's come with 4 sizes of tips and that still won't make them comfortable to 100% of the population. I have friends that can't wear any in-ear bud and only wear over the ear.

So, yes, I trust people who say they don't find them comfortable for them. But that also doesn't make the Pro 3's fit trash. Functionally the Pro 3's are superior to the 2s. I get that some will wait until the price goes down under $200, and that's fair. I usually do that to, but I bought the Pro 3s now because Apple did change the fit and I was worth trying because the way the 2's slowly slip out of my ears at the end of a run is annoying.

I bought a $7 pair of wired earbuds and plugged them in to a non-Apple device.

They sound great.
The EarPods and adapter were never "free." The cost was embedded in the price of the phone. For most of us they were throwaways. because the EarPods sounded mediocre and the iPhone charger could only charge one device making it terrible for travel.

As someone who wore wired audiophile $400 Shure SE535s buds for years, yes, Apple convinced me wireless is more convenient and appropriate when running and walking around. I do not miss the headphone jack and look forward to the day when AirPod Pro's match the SE535s audio quality, but they are excellent now even still. Worth every cent. I don't envy your $7 buds.
