This Sam's Club Outback gift card deal centers on a $50 e gift card for about $35 to $39.98, with some in club stock showing the combo version and others showing Outback only. The card has been delivered quickly for some orders, and the discount has been strong enough to make the math appealing, especially for frequent Outback diners. The main catches are availability and access, with reports of missing buy buttons, cart cancellations, and price changes that seem to come and go. The card is redeemable only at U.S. Outback locations, excluding airports, so it is best for shoppers who want Outback specifically.

Common Questions (5)

  • The Outback gift card is available as an e-gift card online, and some clubs also carry an in-store version. The in-club cards reported here are the combo/multi-restaurant cards, while the online Outback-only card is redeemable only at Outback Steakhouse locations in the U.S. except airport locations.

  • The in-club combo card can be used at multiple Bloomin' Brands restaurants, including Outback, Carrabba's, Bonefish Grill, and Fleming's. The online Outback-only card is restricted to Outback Steakhouse locations.

  • The reported deal price is $35 for a $50 gift card, which is $15 off face value. Some buyers also reported buying up to 5 cards and getting the discount on all 5, though the listing shows max 2 per order and max 2 per membership.

  • Yes, some orders were cancelled during checkout, and some shoppers saw the item at $39.98 with no buy button. Others received the e-gift card in about 15 minutes, so availability and checkout behavior can vary.

  • Yes. Plus early access was reported to work, with the sale starting at 8pm ET for Plus members and 8am ET for basic members.

what happen to the "fresh" pickles at Outback? They were the one thing I would go for at my local OB. Now, they did away with them and serve jarred pickles. Blah...

I was able to order darden and ob, and got them both in about 5 minutes.

Usually, OB cards can be used at Carabbas, but I noticed the picture said for use at OB only. That is usually how the "bonus" gc's work, they are tied to that restaurant.

Interesting conspiracies you're pushing, flat earther. Or maybe you work for Longhorn?

Anyway, my AI has this to say to you:

Outback's beef is graded as 100% USDA Choice and sourced from grain-fed American cattle via domestic processors like SMC, with no "gluing" scraps. This is confirmed in multiple 2025 reports, including supply chain details from The Takeout and Chowhound.

Like ~15% of U.S. beef, Outback's beef may include added solutions for juiciness and tenderness, a USDA-regulated "enhancement" via injection or tumbling, which includes a possible 6-15% enhancement (water, salt, phosphates) for moisture—common in leaner modern beef to prevent dryness. Their steaks are wet-aged (vacuum-sealed, never frozen), which can retain natural juices but may involve minimal solutions.

The steaks are hand-carved and oak-grilled.
100% inaccurate statements and precisely how the US food supply has become so corrupt and abusive to consumers. You should probably stop by the local Outback and talk to the manager or kitchen staff; they are always willing to talk about the real world and, more importantly, required to tell the truth. The Outback near us was rebuilt a few years back, and at the time, the manager told me exactly what was happening. Don't take my word for it, or anyone else's you come across online. Use your gift cards and have a good meal, and ask away....... And if you really want to fall down a rabbit hole, stop into the Double Eagle and ask the same questions...

Gemini: 1. The "Ungraded" / "No-Roll" Switch
Around that 2016 period, industry insiders and butchers noted that Outback (and similar chains) began relying heavily on "No-Roll" beef.
• What this means: "No-Roll" beef is beef that has not been officially graded by a USDA inspector to save money. The supplier claims it is "Choice equivalent," but because it lacks the official stamp (the "roll"), it is significantly cheaper and often inconsistent.
• The Result: You might get a steak that looks like Choice one day, and one that looks like Select (low marbling, tough) the next. This matches the timeline of when customers noticed the quality "fell off a cliff."
2. Removal of "USDA" from Descriptions
While their corporate "About Us" page might still claim they use Choice, the actual physical menus and promotional materials largely stopped leading with "USDA Choice" as a guarantee for every cut. They pivoted to marketing the branding (e.g., "Outback Special," "Victoria's Filet") rather than the grade. This gives them legal wiggle room to serve lower-tier beef when supply prices are high.
3. The Cooking Method Change (The "Clamshell")
To hide this lower quality meat, they stopped using open wood-fire grills for many steaks and switched to "Clamshell" electric griddles (flat-top grills that press the meat from both sides).
• Why they did it: This cooks faster and forces "juiciness" (grease) into lean, lower-quality meat that would otherwise dry out on an open flame.
• The tell: This is why the steaks often have a flat, gray surface with heavy seasoning rather than a true char.
So, while their corporate legal team might still argue they "source" Choice beef: the strict, transparent 100% USDA Choice guarantee effectively vanished years ago in favor of cheaper, inconsistent "Choice-equivalent" meat.

Has anyone been able to order the Landrys multi-chain $100 GC for $65? My order got cancelled twice with no explanation. Do my Nintendo GC purchases count against the Landry's limit? Still shows in stock hours later.
