You lose the bluetooth function in the S-pen, as well as the magnetic s-pen storage on the back.
You lose the anti-reflective screen coating.
You lose the dual front cameras.
The battery is rated for only 1200 cycles instead of the S10U's 2000 cycles (but real world performance can't be fully tested yet).
You lose haptic feedback. The S11U does not have a vibration sensor.

With the S11 Ultra you gain: a brighter screen, a redesigned S-pen (some like it better for drawing), and a slightly thinner profile. The new processor and GPU will also play games and render videos faster.

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra deal centers on a huge 14.6 inch OLED tablet that shines for media, multitasking, and a brighter, thinner, lighter design, with the free Book Cover Keyboard Slim making the bundle especially appealing. Pricing has ranged wildly, from about $699 down to the low $500s or even under $400 with EPP, app-only discounts, promo code 25SOPDEC10, workplace savings, and Android tablet trade ins. The main catches are that the keyboard promo and coupon have been inconsistent or expired, trade in math can change other discounts, and the keyboard itself is widely described as cheap with no trackpad or S Pen storage. It is a strong value only when the discounts line up.

  • people who can use Samsung EPP and also have an eligible Android tablet to trade in because commenters repeatedly got the big drop (like $490, $384.99, or $279) only after stacking EPP with the trade-in and sometimes the Shop app code.

    rachaelmFancySofa204Groot81Alwaystired

  • buyers who want a tablet + keyboard bundle and are okay doing cart/app "jank" to trigger the promo because multiple commenters said the keyboard ended up at $0 (or was added later) after closing/reopening the Samsung Shop app or using the 25SOPDEC10 code.

    CoralGalley8511tarlough7rieuk

  • people upgrading from an older Galaxy Tab (like S8 Ultra/S10 Ultra) who value the included keyboard and a fresh warranty/battery because commenters described trade-in deals that made the upgrade feel worthwhile (e.g., $279 with a free keyboard, or "piece of mind" from the new 1-year warranty/battery).

    eduardmcAlwaystiredRenard

  • shoppers using the Samsung Shop app who are comfortable troubleshooting promo stacking because commenters reported the lowest totals only after specific steps (new EPP account, adding the code, closing/reopening the app, or triggering an added cart offer).

    Imaginairerieuklodit

  • people considering it for desk-style use (not handheld reading) because commenters said the Ultra size feels better suited for desk use and watching content, while handheld reading/comics is less ideal.

    ahmadh007raiz

  • buyers who don't have an eligible trade-in device (or don't want to risk trade-in) because commenters said the deal math depends on the $200 "Other Android tablet" credit and that trade-ins can be rejected/charged back, creating stress and time.

    alexnigro10mineyo69JDeez1

  • people who want the free keyboard promo reliably because commenters reported the keyboard promo disappearing, the keyboard being out of stock, or the keyboard not showing up in the cart even when they could reach the tablet price.

    pphunckEternalLifeFaithfulSnow3947

  • Amazon Fire tablet owners trying to qualify for the trade-in offer because commenters said Kindle Fire tablets were not eligible (and at least one agent confirmed Fire tablets won't work for the $200 discount).

    ryanzzzTheKingofDealsEyeLikeDeals

  • shoppers who need consistent pricing without app workarounds because commenters said they couldn't replicate the advertised $600/$599 price, saw totals jump back to $699, or had coupon/code issues (expired/doesn't stack).

    Imaginairevolyblmn

  • people who plan to use the tablet alone without the keyboard kickstand because one commenter said the tablet alone may not have a built-in kickstand, which affected their intended use.

For just the Tablet and the Keyboard Cover this new deal is slightly cheaper. Before it was $699.99 for the tablet and $94.50 for the Keyboard cover. Now it's $769.99 for the tablet and $0 for the keyboard cover. Not counting any discount or referral codes or trade-ins.

I just bought this on Black Friday. Without trade-in. After 10% off code MILNOV25. Which was for those with Military Discount Account. Came out to the following:
  • Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra (Wi-Fi) ($629.99)
  • Book Cover Keyboard Slim ($85.05)
  • Galaxy Buds3 ($30.24)
  • Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) 47mm, LTE ($277.19)

I ended up getting all 4. Got the Galaxy Buds3 in Silver and the Galaxy Watch Ultra in Titanium Blue. Total was $1022.47 + $84.34 (taxes) = $1,106.81. Total Savings $1,217.49. Also upgrading from a Galaxy Tab S4.
Agree this is a solid deal, but to clarify there was a second deal from a couple days ago that was $599 including the tablet and keyboard cover, with no trade in. Bought and received this deal. I believe it was a glitch as it was not active for very long and took some fiddling to get it in the cart.

Same here.

$839 with trade in

$699 with $200 trade in

I got the S8 Ultra... I feel there is no need to upgrade. What is better?
Same, it's about the same product we got in 2022, it was ahead of it's time. S8 Ultra says it's worth $700 tradein, which sounds incredible, but then you see it reduces other discounts and really ends up giving only $300ish more than a 10 year old junk tablet. The improvements are pretty obvious, more RAM, storage, CPU/GPU speed, Wifi 7 and the screen is brighter/antireflective. The improvements are noticeable but not essential, maybe check again in 3 years.

Would an Amazon Kindle Fire 10 count as 'Any Android Tablet?"
I wouldn't risk it. I've stories on slickdeals about those being rejected which causes the trade-in discount to be voided. Last years promo on the S10+, I bought a generic android tablet from FB Marketplace for around 20-40 bucks.
