This BOSGAME E5 is a compact Windows mini PC best suited for light desktop use, home theater setups, and retro gaming. The Ryzen 3 5300U, 16GB of DDR4 memory, and 1TB SSD make it a strong value at this price, and it can drive three 4K displays. It also works well as a Kodi or Batocera box and can handle camera monitoring or basic file sharing. Caveats include USB power management that can shut off external drives, reports of awkward network setup, and the older low end CPU being a poor fit for local large language models.
Common Questions (5)
USB power management can turn off external drives and other USB devices on Windows, and wake-up delays of around 10 seconds can happen. Checking Device Manager for USB Root Hub and other USB power settings can prevent the shutdown behavior.
The higher-spec BOSGAME P4 option with the Ryzen 7 5700U is listed with triple 4K display support, dual LAN, WiFi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2. It also adds a second NVMe slot and stronger graphics and CPU performance than the 5300U model.
Yes if you want more headroom. The 5700U version has better integrated graphics for transcoding, a stronger CPU for file transfers and CPU transcoding, faster 2.5GbE networking, and lower power draw at 25W versus 35W.
No. The Ryzen 3 5300U is a low-end, older 4-core CPU with integrated graphics, and the iGPU uses system RAM as VRAM, which makes it a poor fit for local LLM workloads.
Yes. It can run Batocera.linux and Kodi for free, making it a practical home theater and light retro gaming box, and it is positioned as a better option than Fire TV or Google TV sticks for that use.

BOSGAME products look similar to AZW/Beelink/TRIGKEY products, but BOSGAME seems to be a separate company as far as I could tell. Perhaps they use the same ODMs.

For $80 more you get twice the CPU cores with the 5700U, Zen3 (vs Zen2 for the 5300U and 12%/500Mhz faster boost speed), twice the L3 cache, Vega 8 graphics, dual 2.5GbE, a 2nd NVME slot, and WiFi 6E upgrades. That's a lot for your money for sure. Only lower spec if the 512GB NVME vs 1TB, but both are likely to be non-DRAM having crap and I would replace them anyway.
