You can really put these anywhere since they are diffused. They won't look spotty and too bright like an exposed light strip would. That being said, I'll probably use them to put behind furniture (desk, sofa, bed, etc) to illuminate the walls behind them.

Govee Glide RGBIC wall lights are a diffused accent set for wall art, behind furniture, or gaming setups, with colors that can add ambience without the harsh look of exposed strips. They work well with other Govee lighting and can sync through Dreamview with Govee TV lights to react to the screen. The $35 price is described as normal, though the kit includes only six bars and two connectors, so longer layouts may need extra sets. The six piece design also limits daisy chaining beyond the intended length.

Common Questions (4)

  • Yes, it can work with Govee TV lights through DreamView, letting the panels change colors based on what is on the TV screen. One reported limitation is that the two panels may not behave independently for separate left/right TV placement.

    DallasGGDallasGGsr27

  • Yes. The panels are diffused, so they do not look spotty or overly bright like exposed LED strips. They work well mounted behind furniture such as a desk, sofa, or bed to wash the wall with light.

    GuitarpikElwots

  • No. The set is programmed for six bars, so daisy-chaining or making it longer than six does not work. The kit also includes only two connectors, which can make the 6-bar layout feel limiting.

    KwameMNSXIntegra

  • $35 is a normal sale price for this set, and CamelCamelCamel shows an average around $60. That makes the deal price a solid discount rather than an unusually low one.

What is the use case for these? I see gaming in the title but I'm struggling to understand where you would put them.

Govee makes other lights for that. These are typically displayed on the wall in whatever fun design you can come up with. Just my two cents.

With enough hackery, anything is possible, although control via govee2mqtt is quite strong

Kids like things like this in their bedrooms. They do look cool on the wall and go well with other smart lighting. We have Govee light strips under the kids' beds to illuminate the ground. With the available scenes, it all comes together nicely.

This is the normal price for them! Bought two sets this summer at this price. Govee jacks them up them discounts them. Grrrrr

CamelCamelCamel states $60 average price but I didn't know about these until they went on sale. I like them, pretty good for the price. Only thing I do not like is that you only get 2 connectors so you pretty much have to have 3 linked up since there are 6 bars total.

Designs like straight lines or . . . straight lines.

Seems like all the setup examples on Amazon are using 8 lights but this only comes with 6?
