So I was researching deals on blood pressure machines, and ended up buying the Omron series 10 (which is largely the same as the platinum series above, except comes with a stiffer cuff vs a softer cuff).
They normally retail for $99.99 at CVS. However, I get 40% off one full price item all the time from CVS in the trail of coupons they always print out. So was able to get it for $60. Just sharing an option

Worth the premium over the cheaper BP monitors? Or is it sort of a premium for the app tracking, which is probably really useful for tracking.

I have been using a lesser version of this brand for years and it's fantastic.

This is very important to keep the accurate readings. so i prefer to choose a trusted with clinically validated monitor. Yes its premium price, but i believe it worth to get a peace of mind as we use every day/twice a day. trusting the product gives us better results.

a lot of bad review if you sort by recent despite showing a higher average. Even some of the paid reviews.

in your view series10 vs Platinum. which is better?

i was also looking for series 10 only till this comes up. how did you get the $40 coupon at CVS? i did not find any online so asking for your help.

couple of pros for platinum is : 6 years warranty vs 5 for series 10 (not sure if we really use this)
Storage case yes for Platinum vs no for series 10

i am only looking for the best available though we pay little more. this is one time buy and use daily for several months so

for omron we dont need to depend on reviews, i think. the brand is widely used and there for several decades. so any monitor should work without issues.

Always there are reviews who do not like the product, publish the negative/neutral review, but who likes generally may miss to submit a positive review.

To me i trust Omron so buying their product is basically the features of the models than reviews

Not worth it. omoron when confronted with readings not consistent with the BPM provided by a clinical study evaded warranty telling me that the cuff needs to be replaced every 12 months which costs more than a new monitor. Much less expensive alternate brand monitors yielded readings consistent with the clinical home study BPM. Trend and weekly average is more important.

I have not used the platinum, but the Omron series 10 works fine, syncs to the app after every reading. I am happy with it. From what I understand, the guts of the 10 and platinum are the same.

As for the 40% coupon, I usually pick up a prescription and it's usually one of the coupons that they print out. I get them all the time. One thing of note is that I did not see it in my coupon offers on cvs app, but it did print out when I picked up the prescription.

First, it costs about a quarter of it (see sellers here):

Second, though I'm unsure which model you're referring to, even the manual doesn't say that, only mentioning replacement if it no longer inflates. Unless it was defective (and the cuff has a 1-year warranty, less than the monitor's 6), or your cat got at it, that really shouldn't be the case. I wonder if you got a representative trying to get you off their back.

That was pretty fast, just a couple days. Even this morning, the little counter on the page only reached "36% claimed." Are those counters usually like that? I'd never noticed one before and assumed it would go up to 100%.

I share what omron tech support said. The short warranty begins on your invoice date. Consider it perishable not shelf-stable.

Can you tell me if the product in sealed condition? Mine received today but it's the box but not sealed. Omron website have a banner message that there are counterfeit products are there in the market. How to make sure this is genuine? Thank you
