Calm down Nancy, the material on these doesnt flake like cheaper stuff. Ive had mine for years and theyre fine. Additionally they come with a set of soft cloth ear cups you can put on if you dont like the fake leather ones.
I have this the black version and they are great for gaming. Pads are not flaking
Yeah i have the Cloud Alpha S, bought Jan 2021 so basically 5 years old and they show zero flaking or cracking or anything. Not all synthetic leather is equal. It isnt that cheap stuff they put on walmart gaming chairs. For example, Mercedes has been using "MB Tex" their in house synthetic, for literal decades with no issues.
