Not sure if this is even worth the discounted $40 price. Water gets into these units at the 1-2 year mark when installed outside and it'll cause battery issues and the LED diodes to fail.

Anyone know how these compare to Tapo Magcam? Have one and it takes forever to load video from SD card for playback.

Mine failed for the exact same reason at 3 year mark. Now it is dead. I was planning to reorder this for $40 now I'm a bit hesitant. I however don't have any alternatives reliable option and have no coverage on my backyard for a month now. I might buy it.

update. ordered with $9 geeksquard protection plan

This is closer to the right price, but I'm still not buying more. I have like 6 of these. Video is good until water gets in. I have a couple in direct sun light that still doesn't charge like they should. I've hooked up external solar panels and it's fine. I love the older ones, but this model not so good.

i have one, currently offline because it won't charge in the fall/winter. Fully out in the open. It may come on for an hour or so and then shuts off. I have motion detection turned off and on optimized battery settings

Mine like this has been working for 4-5 years.

I recently put a newer model with ai on my backporch. It's cool. Eufy is much better than the Flock associated brands.

Yeah the main difference is this one has built-in lights for color night vision... the S220 does not.

The only one of these that hasn't died is ironically oceanfront.

If you are using a few cameras and don't mind a subscription price, I've been using Ring for years. They have been rock solid.

S220 technically newer do not know the durability of those. These have issues like other said after 1 , 2 if you are lucky with water getting in and creating a short In the Led diodes. One obvious difference s220 does not have spotlight function.

I have an S220 out in the elements. It's been fine for about 1.5 years now. You have me concerned. Do you know where the water gets into the cam? Is it around the solar panel or the sides? I wonder if I could put a little clear caulk around those areas to keep the water out...
I did buy this one. I think this price is more than fair.

The only way to do it with Ring is with an external solar panel. The Ring panels are pricey. I'm using some off brand panels that are about 1/3 the price of the branded panel. Wi-Fi is not an issue for me as I get good signal.
