The Amazfit Bip 5 Smart is a budget smartwatch that stands out for its large display, long battery life, and basic fitness and sleep tracking. The $20 price makes it feel like a low-risk way to try Amazfit features, especially for runs, alarms, and everyday notifications. The 46mm case is fairly large, and the watch is not the same as the core version, which lacks built in GPS. Messaging and full app features may require the Zepp app to stay open in the background, and durability concerns were also raised.
Common Questions (3)
The watch is attractive for its roughly 10-day battery life at about $20, especially compared with watches that need daily charging. The 46mm case is fairly large, so it may feel big on smaller wrists, but some find the display big without being bulky.
You can receive messages, but replying requires the Zepp app to keep running in the background. The watch also does not have a keyboard, so replies are handled through voice assistance instead.
The $19.99 listing appears to be the Bip 5 Smart, while the lower-priced core version does not have built-in GPS. A separate Amazon version with built-in GPS and Alexa is listed at a higher price, around $67.56.

For my lifestyle, yes Bip 6 would be worth it.
Also....$20 is rock bottom for a good enough smart watch to tinker with 🤷 ♂️
