I had an unbelievable opportunity to meet Kiefer about 8 years ago and I wore a shirt I had made back during the original run of the TV series that was my favorite line he ever said on the show and so the day I met him when I walked up before I could even say a word he looked at me pointed at my shirt and said "I'm gonna need a hacksaw" That's my favorite line I ever said on the show and of course at that moment all I could think was damn this may be the coolest moment ever. He was so unbelievably kind, he signed the shirt and we got a picture together

Are people really arguing over whether the entire series is worth 15 cents PER EPISODE? ABSOLUTELY, the show went downhill over time, and I can't remember if I watched anything after season 4. But the first season was one of the best seasons of television I've ever watched, it was revolutionary. If you've already seen the show, sure, maybe it's not worth it. But if you've never watched the show, take a chance on it for $30!!
Season 5 is generally regarded as the best season (as far as I remember) worth it to go through s5, altho I really enjoyed s7

If you liked "24", I suggest giving "MI5" aka "Spooks" a shot. It's another-terrorism team show set in the UK. What's interesting is that its style is very similar to "24," but they both came out at the same time, so I don't think's just copying.
"MI5/Spooks" is a bit more grounded than "24" though it started getting a bit goofy as well towards the end. Still worth a look.

I wish this were the Fandango (Vudu) price as well. Some of us don't play in Apple's walled garden.

I remember Best Buy had a coupon for $20 off each season of 24, but accidentally had them on sale for $20-something, so a lot of us here got all the seasons available at the time (6, I believe) for a few dollars each. laugh out loud I still have mine! I hadn't seen the show then, so that deal got me and my family hooked. I then started watching the show in real time, with a TV movie starring Robert Carlyle being new at the time before the new season started.

24 was very fresh in Season One, and it held to the time concept pretty well. It was an incredible ride. I bought my first DVD player solely to rewatch Season One when it came out on DVD.

I didn't think they'd possibly be able to repeat it the intensity. And they never really did. Seasons two and three were fun and had excitement, but the plots were starting a run of being more and more convoluted and the 24 hour cycle was being abandoned. Season five would rekindle the show for a season, but still suffered. And then it just fell off a cliff.
