Yes, they are essentially rebranded hardware, since Roku has a partnerships with Wyze---but they aren't cross-compatible with the normal Wyze-branded Cams when it comes to software.

I bought two of these in March when they were posted here for $6 each at Walmart. They are downright terrible. They say they are 1080p but the pixelation on them is terrible. They are Wyze hardware with Roku firmware on them which is terrible. The signal on them constantly drops even when placed directly next to a router or AP. That being said I also purchased the outdoor version of this camera and it is rock solid. I looked into flashing the Wyze firmware onto them but no one has been able to do it yet.

I would not trust Roku with nothing, this is the company trying to push some tech in their TV's and boxes that shows you ads when you pause something in you Apple TV, PlayStation or any console by reading the signal from the hdmi when it feels the content is pause. Involuntary when the content your using have not ads.

Couldn't pay me to buy a Roku product. Waiting for their next gigantic data breach to happen, it's going to be bad and hopefully they will fix things up and in 5 years after all suddenly say wow they've really turned things around.

Which company doesn't have a data breech.

That's easy - get real Wyze cameras, not the rebranded kind. It's hard to match their features for $20. And I'll pay $5 more for each one to not have to deal with Roku.
