I have found these versions a few times at $35 each in warehouse. I bought a bunch of the WALNUT colored ones and saw the OAK colored ones a few weeks ago at the same discount!

It would be better than a bare wall, but the MDF vanity strips that are on top of the fabric would still add a bit of sound reflection vs if these were a fully bare foam or fabric sheet. I'd imagine these would be used in a checkered pattern of foam and vanity panels, or even less of these and more foam panels in terms of room coverage.

So a mattress pad in a window would be better??? Guess you could cover it with cloth!

In before some genius who doesn't know the difference between soundproofing and acoustic treatment comes in to give 'advice'.

These and the Costco panels are not, but you can get fire rated panels elsewhere, like these:

Pretty much 😅. I honestly see these more as decor panels to add "accents" to a mostly correctly treated room that's intended to be a permanent installation.

TMI, but is this about keeping sound out of your bedroom or in your bedroom?

What works for one will work some for the other but tends not to be optimum. These are about keeping sound in.
