This is a tiny $20 beginner drone that can be a fun starter toy or gift for kids, especially for learning basic flying and line of sight control. It can take off and move around, and a few reports say it flies surprisingly well for the price. The camera and video quality are weak, with upscaled footage, blur in motion, and very short flight time when the camera is on. Reliability also looks shaky, with pairing problems, weak wind handling, and some units failing to take off.

This is a good inexpensive drone gift for a kid. Here is a review on YouTube to see what you would be getting. It's decent value if it works properly. https://youtu.be/g5OeSyNl7a0?si=kZQ29q1FyHc15qBM

in for two. consider these dispoable for operations/prank.
quick use can think of.

- put fart spray/stick bomb on it and crash it into someones attic/hvac intake vent.
- prank on thief get a set of two. put the drone and controller in a place like you accidently. (you keep the controller that connects to the decoy drone). as soon as a thief pick up the drone and controller. fly the drone to it's face so he thikns he accidently did it to himself.
- give it to kids of people you don't like.

This is basically the same as the E88/E99 drone you can buy from AliExpress or Temu for less than $15.

Is the quality good?
I'll give a non-snarky reply. I bought one like this during COVID. The quality is terrible, it's upscaled to 1080p. Digital noise even in full sun. There's no gimbal so anytime you move the drone it's going to be blurry. The camera is only "manually" adjusted by 90 degrees in one plane, which means you have to physically have the drone in your hand to adjust the camera angle. The faintest gust of wind will make it very difficult to control.

Save your $20. If you've never flown a drone before it will provide about 20 minutes of novelty that will quickly wear off and frustrate you from getting into drones. I got a mini afterwards and it was like a completely different activity - it became about the photography and not just trying to pilot the thing.

Any suggestions on a better alternative on AliE?
This style of drone (body shape and 4 collapsible legs) is probably the same all over - get a $10 without screen version or gamble on a $20-40 different body styleThe good news is that the drone does take off and move around OK even this cheap, so prioritize newer hardware (would assume the E88-E99 Pro/Reg are all ~same spec & cheap)There are tons of alternatives for $20-40 range, but I haven't personally tested any. Basically $10 for toy or more to gamble

just got mine, flys surprisingly well, not bad for 20 bucks. gonna get my nephews them for Christmas.[/QUh

How is the picture quality?

Thanks
I have one of these drones, it looks almost identical except the form factor of the battery and remote layout is a bit different. But if the camera is anything like the one I have, it's not good at all. In fact, the outputted video files are only 720p@25fps. But in reality, it's probably upscaled from 480p@15fps.

It was still kind of cool and sharp enough to see the landscape behind my backyard, but the quality was not good.

I'm impressed , that 14% of reviewers thought it was a bad drone. Even the "incentivized ones" (who were paid or got it free, etc) many gave it a 1 star. I'll pass on this deal.
They were incentivized to leave a review. That means that Walmart offered them something after the fact to leave a review. It doesn't mean they got a free product.

Walmart once gave a couple of bucks of Walmart cash to review a cheap padlock I bought. It's really not this big shill conspiracy some people think it is.
