This is the best of the best... they do make a bigger size. This is 5.5cups and they make a 10cup size I think.

The Three best... First two are made in Japan and the third is made in Korea.

1. Zojirushi NP‑NWC10XB / NP‑NWC18
Induction + Pressure + Fuzzy Logic AI → adapts cooking cycle for short‑grain white rice.

Dedicated White Rice & Sushi Rice modes → optimized for fluffy, glossy grains.

Taste tests consistently show rice that is light, fluffy, and perfectly sticky for chopsticks. Best overall for Japanese‑style white rice.

2. Tiger JKT‑F18W (8 Cup)
Induction + Pressure + Ceramic inner pot → retains heat and enhances sweetness.

Produces slightly chewier rice than Zojirushi, which some people prefer. Strong runner‑up, especially if you like a firmer bite.

3. CUCKOO CRP‑HZ0683FR (6 Cup)
High pressure (up to ~29 PSI) → makes rice softer and stickier.

Excellent for Korean‑style sticky rice, but less ideal if you want fluffy Japanese‑style grains. Best for sticky/glutinous white rice.

I am willing to wait until next year but if I see one at a crazy price like (50% off) I will JUMP!!!

Is the NP-NWC18 the same as the NP-NWC18XB that's on special at Macys right now?

Answer straight from Google...
The
NP-NWC18 and the NP-NWC18xb are the exact same model of Zojirushi Pressure Induction Heating rice cooker; the "XB" is simply a color or finish designation, typically referring to a stainless black exterior. There is no functional difference between the two.

MUCH CHEAPER on EBAY... but may not arrive until after Xmas.
