WOW! I've not seen so much bad/mis-information in one post for a long time! You instruct people to get a LaserJet but don't say why.

LaserJet is a brand from HP...did you mean an HP printer or just any laser printer? I ask because for the last few years, HP had locked their printers to where you are FORCED to buy HP toner and ink -- your claim of buying "generic toner" is not valid any more. It will not work. Did you know this inkjet is a COLOR printer? Are you suggesting people go find a used $50 COLOR laser printer? What if you want to print photos? Photos suck on a laser printer. Since you didn't say why you hate inkjets, I will assume you remember way back when ink cartridges would clog and cost a fotrune. I will let you know that printers like this use ink tanks and "refills" are just bottles of ink. You can use OEM ink or you can use generic ink, but either way it's very economical. They also come with 2 years of ink (average usage) in the box.

So if you can clarify why people should buy a used B/W LaserJet over a COLOR inkjet, it might help people make a better decision.

Very tempted because I've only had a B&W laser for the past 15 years, but I'm not sure I can deal with going back to the nightmare of clogged printheads, and massive amounts of wasted ink trying to unclog those printheads!

Pretty good printer when it works. Customer service is pretty great though. Mine never worked right out of the box, just kept chugging and would never print without many hoops. My laziness waited til we had it for almost a year because we didn't really need it too much but when I called they tried trouble shooting with me and determined it needed to be replaced and sent me a new one. The small lcd is pretty hard to see, so if you need readers or anything like that keep that in mind. I have a magnifying glass I use to see it and I only use 1.5 readers. lol

I just placed my order at Staples, price is $141.99 but you get 50% points back making it a better deal.
They won't price match Amazons price because it's a "special offer" price.
