what the hell, are you sure? i was checking jomashop all the time and this didnt pop up at 300. i mean i didnt look at it directly but i checked gentlmen many times and didnt see it. i check this item all the time and i think the price was around 450ish.

Love me some Tissot but for their quartz watches especially you're better off buying one resale third party to save on the markup for new.

no it's not the same. i have the powermatic 80 silicium version of this and the external craftsmanship is exquisite. i assume externally it's the same. at first i went to walmart and looked at their cheap ass watches and felt almost bad because they looked the same but on close inspection, definitely not. the tissot is much finer. that's really where the price difference comes from, just those fine details. you couldnt tell by looking at it far away but the whole point of a luxury watch is the fine detail. i also compared it to a 120 dollar 304l stainless steel invicta and again the tissot is just finer in detail. but i do agree that if you were going to splurge on a watch, 300 and 600 is virtually the same. why get a semi luxury watch for 300 when you could get an actual one for 600. also yes i know this price range isnt actually luxury but it is an expensive entry level enthusiast watch. when i wore my watch i finally realized why people loved jewelry. it made me feel good and rich somehow the way jewelry never did.

If a quartz movement fails, then you have to replace it (movement) as it can't be repaired - with the exception of replacement of the battery if that's the issue. I bought my wife a B&M quartz watch and the movement did fail and it was several hundred dollars to replace the movement. I wish I had gotten her one with an automatic movement instead.
