It worked for me last night. Also got another $50 pending through a cashback site with 10% (up to $50) back on soundbars/speakers and redeemed a few points still in my Samsung account getting this down to just under $560 plus tax.

Yep will hold off for a bit. Apparently this is Feb/March 2024 model.

Oh darn. I ordered these speakers without the discount code three days ago and it's already shipped. I tried to get a price match by talking to customer service, but they told me they can't give a price match. They told me the only way to take advantage of the discount code would be to refuse the delivery and reorder the item. Has anyone had any luck with this?

Remote is tough to change advanced settings but I figured it's much better to alter settings from Smart things app if you do not have a Samsung TV.

- Can someone share their settings to optimize sound for a basement?
- Also any good mounting stands for the rears?
- Last question- anyone added two kore surrounds to the front?

You can accept the shipment, then go on Chat to return. They usually offer at least a 10% refund to get you from returning the order. This little trick works with almost any Samsung order, not sure how often you can do this before they catch on, but I've been doing it for years to get further discounts.

After owning one like this a couple years now, I notice connecting via wifi gives the best sound. My model had a issue of disconnecting from the wifi frequently when I just got it, but over the years it got better, and after an update a few months ago, it has stopped disconnecting. Was a little annoying, but I love this soundbar system so much, I lived with the once a day experience till a fix finally came.

can anyone explain how this soundbar system works? i already have a 5.1 system but its all in ceiling speakers and sounds ok. does this soundbar just go directly into my hdmi for my tv so i don't need my receiver anymore? if so, does that mean i have to run all my wires for all my devices to the tv? seems horrible

How often is the Q990D getting firmware updates now? I didn't want to do update after I get mine as I read about the brick issue but sounds like it's worth updating.
