Samsung's S90F OLED is drawing attention as a bright, colorful QD OLED TV that stands out for gaming, upscaling, and strong SDR and HDR performance. The 77 inch model is repeatedly described as the latest model year at a standout price, with some checkout totals landing around $1,530 before tax and lower after stacked discounts. Main tradeoffs are Dolby Vision support, Samsung's DTS and app quirks, and return or warranty hassles that can erase some of the savings.
Shoppers comparing premium 77-inch OLEDs, because the 77-inch model is QD-OLED and is repeatedly described as a strong value versus higher-priced alternatives.
Viewers prioritizing vivid color and strong upscaling on non-4K content, because Samsung is described as more accurate, brighter, and better at upscaling.
Home theater setups that need DTS passthrough through the TV, because DTS support is missing and may require an external audio extractor or receiver upgrade.
Buyers who may need an easy return path, because Samsung returns can be a hassle and one reported case involved a cracked screen and a difficult refund process.
It can work on some EPP accounts and on the 77-inch model, but it is reported as invalid on Education and first-responder accounts. Some shoppers also found the code removed a previously selected offer instead of lowering the total.
Watch the Samsung Vision AI video while signed in, then add the TV to cart; the discount can appear automatically without a separate code. Clearing cookies and using the TV & AV menu path reportedly helps when the offer does not show up.
The S90F is reported to be far brighter in Game Mode, more colorful, and better at handling direct reflections, while the C5 has Dolby Vision and can keep blacks darker in bright rooms. For Xbox and Dolby Vision content, the C5 has a slight edge; for brightness and QD-OLED color, the S90F does.
It does not support Dolby Vision, and DTS passthrough is also reported as unsupported. That means some setups may need an Apple TV, Nvidia Shield, or an external audio extractor/splitter for full media compatibility.
I was going to get the 55inch at Costco with a 5 year warranty for 1299. But.... 10 more inches for $220 cheaper with no warranty 🤔🤔🤔🤔 or get the 55 inch here for 917
I just placed an order for an S90F 65" for $1032.74 (before tax) using EPP with discount codes 25SOPDEC10 and 5SZLEITC6O. I will also get 5% cashback from PayPal by paying with "Pay in 4" and 2% cashback from my credit card. It is a good deal. Thanks.

Dolby Vision is noticeably better than HDR10+. It's such a silly opinion when people say they think Dolby Vision is overrated.
People arguing about Dolby Vision vs HDR10+ but leaving out the TV itself. Dolby Vision is better if the displays were equal, but the S90f has a better display than the LG. At least according to independent testing like Rtings.
I think this is dead, can't get to this price... $1,259.99 after education EPP. The code doesn't work, and if it did, that would bring it down to $1,134. What am I missing?
Not sure. It is working for me. After code the 77" is showing $1529 before tax!
I have had this for a week now. I upgraded from a 2016 55" LG OLED that was left on for multiple days and got some burn in finally (can't remember model, but it's the slightly curved one.)
This is a good tv, especially for this price, but... I like the LG better. Better colors, better settings per input, and less reflective. Again this tv is nice and bright, but coming from my old LG I just can't enjoy it / justify the purchase, even on a great deal like this. There are small intangibles that LG does better to me, and I am a fan of Dolby Vision and I didn't know I'd miss it til it's not an option. I don't like LG's WebOS, but even with a Samsung phone, Samsungs Tizen is similarly bad
Just my opinion, but I went based on Rtings review of the s90F, and thought I'd share my experience.

The deal can stack with EPP discounts and additional promo mechanics, producing checkout totals around the low-$1,000s for some buyers.
The S90F can deliver more vivid, accurate colors and stronger upscaling for non-4K content than competing LG OLED models.
The S90F can be far brighter in Game Mode, which helps in brighter rooms during gaming sessions.
The 77-inch model can arrive with white-glove delivery and a damage warranty option, which can reduce purchase risk.
The coupon and promo codes can fail to validate for some education or partner accounts, preventing the expected discount.
Samsung's return logistics can be difficult, and return paths may be constrained depending on shipping versus pickup.
The built-in smart TV experience can be slow or problematic, including cases where uninstalling Samsung Plus is needed for normal functionality.
DTS passthrough can require an aftermarket audio extractor or splitter, which can limit DTS playback options compared with setups expecting eARC DTS.
