I really wish they would make a mini WiFi plug that had 2 outlets with at least 1 on the side so it fit behind furniture better and could control 2 devices independently.

I have a few of these and I love them. 3 independent switched plugs, 3 always on, and 3 USB switched. https://a.co/d/1FcyYvU
The lowest price I've seen for this was during a flash sale with a coupon for $24, but still not bad at $27. I have the Tapo P110M and I highly recommend them for power monitoring and scheduling.
If these are the same minus the "matter" compatible, then they're still solid if you don't care about the open source compatibility.
I'm summarizing a year old understanding, but matter is an open standard that manufactures can adhere to to make devices platform agnostic. If you use anything like home automation or Google home it makes adding the devices a lot easier. They also have a scanable qr code to add them.
It also ensures that devices will remain usable if the tapo platform is retired or tplink goes out of business.
I recently purchased the Tapo P110M and found this in the quick start guide:
"Load Type: Power Adapter/USB Charger *
Note:
1. * Power Adapters/USB Chargers rated under 75W do not support PFC (Power Factor Correction). PFC can reduce the inrush current generated when the relay is turned on. Therefore, using a 60-75W Power Adapter/USB Charger may damage the device due to inrush currents.
That does seem to limit its usefulness for certain laptops/tablets and other low watt devices. Not clear if this is specific to the P110M or applies to all similar plugs.
