Found one in one home depot (Flowermound, tx).
Looked on the app and there were plenty available in the Home Depot in Irving.
I went and it was the same price (6.22), there were like 20 available.

If you're reading this, please consider getting a Fire+Carbon Monoxide combo unit, NOT a unit like this. As recently as the 2021 Texas winter event, 19 people died from fatal carbon monoxide poisonings. Get a unit that does Fire AND Carbon Monoxide, like this one for $25:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/257242252809
Of course, any sensor is better than no sensor.

What if everything is electric? How would you could get CO in your home?

Car running in the garage? Generator? Even if it raises the cost of the detector 15 dollars. Is your life worth saving 10 dollars a year for 10 years. Assuming you have like 6-7 detectors in the house. Isn't that a small price to pay for peace of mind.

Maybe the weather here is not so bad (TX).
I don't need to run the car in the garage (on top is an EV) and i don't have a generator.

There might be places where this kind of detectors can be enough, and the brand/price is ok.

My wife hates it when I rev-up my Dodge Demon in our 36th floor apartment master bedroom at 3am on a Saturday night

I don't know why anyone would want a detector which beeps when it needs attention or new batteries.

As opposed to what? Not letting you know?

The 10 year battery ones are better but more expensive. Plus the battery rarely seems to last that long. Either way get the CO detector for sure.
