They should have reduced the size of the Hero's party.
2-3 too many members who were just NPCs whose actions/deaths you hardly remembered.

Saw this way back as a kid and thought the spinning weapon was cool AF. Even folded my own out of paper and was throwing that thing everywhere....but that scene when the Cyclops was crushed saving the group...so so sad...!

Gen X grew up with that scene and the horse in The NeverEnding Story and everyone wonders why we are so bitter.
