Heads up for the Natural/Alpine Loop, this deal is only for Large band size; the Medium is Refurbished for the same price. Almost didn't realize till I got to check out.
Apple Watch Ultra 2 stands out for its long battery life, rugged titanium build, and outdoor-friendly extras like the side action button, loud siren, and larger watch faces. It also handles workouts, calls, texts, calendar items, nightstand mode, and Apple Music streaming over cellular without an iPhone when paired with a plan and subscription. The main drawbacks are its thick, heavy size and the need to watch band sizing, since the Natural and Alpine Loop deal was limited to Large. Best Buy returns may also carry a $45 restocking fee.
Big-wristed buyers who want a rugged-looking smartwatch, because the larger case feels comfortable on bigger arms and looks oversized on smaller ones.
Frequent exercisers who want all-day battery life, because the watch can last several days on a charge and handles workouts, calls, and texts in a pinch.
Outdoor users who want a quick-access action button and loud emergency alert, because the side button starts actions fast and the siren is easy to hear when lost.
The Ultra 2 adds a dedicated side button for quick actions, a loud siren, and larger watch faces with more information. It is also described as having a very scratch-resistant screen and a thick, heavy build.
The Ultra 2 is described as lasting several days on a charge, while regular Apple Watch models may barely last a full day. That longer battery life is one of the main reasons shoppers choose the Ultra line.
Yes. The Natural/Alpine Loop version is listed at the deal price only in Large; Medium shows as refurbished for the same price. Check the band size at checkout so you do not accidentally land on the refurbished listing.
Yes, with a cellular plan and an Apple Music subscription, it can stream Apple Music without an iPhone nearby and show calendar items. It also supports nightstand mode and wake-up alarms.
Not familiar with Best Buy for Apple stuff.
Seems there's a $45 restocking fee.
May buy online from Bestbuy, try on at Apple Store, and pick up from Bestbuy if I like it.
not an Apple Watch user but can it do the following?
1) nightstand mode, as a wakeup alarm.
2) stream Apple Music w/o iPhone (assuming I have a carrier plan and Apple Music subscription)
3) support Calender, so I can see what's coming up in my schedule
My primary use will be wearing it to the gym as I don't want to bring iPhone (which is a big distraction) and reduce my overall iPhone usage.
That's the exact reason I got an Apple Watch in the first place. I was able buy with a work subsidy and half expected I'd be gifting it to my mom/dad but ended up loving it. Got the Ultra 2 when it came out and have been very happy with it. I use the workout features extensively and it's great to take calls and receive/send texts in a pinch. Calendar 'complication' is on the default watch face I believe. Biggest thing for me with the Ultra is the improved battery life. Several days on a charge vs the regular models which barely last a full day if you're lucky. One potential drawback is its size/heft. I'm a biggish guy so for me its perfect but I let a couple girls who were considering it try it on and it was ludicrously oversized on them. They decided on the smaller, regular model.
Edit: I'll also add that unless you have money to burn don't buy Apple's insanely overpriced bands. You can get a variety pack of 10 serviceable imitation bands on Amazon for 1/2 the price of ONE Apple branded band.

This was going to be my question. I got a 10 46 like new for $220 around BF and whiffed on some ultra 2 deals. Since its software is the same, is it only battery life really that is the difference? What else would I be missing
