The product name of the bundle shows 7600x but if you scroll down it shows the 7600x3d is what is in the bundle not the 7600x. Also makes sense since Micro Center has a 7600x3d bundle with a asus b650e for the same price.

And then when you buy memory it's almost the same price as the MB and CPU combined.

I really wish they would ship Frown
If the 7600x3d hits $150 I'll probably road trip down to Miami, it'll be like $20 worth of gas and terrifying. 😂

7600x3d cheap is exclusively designed for Microcenter. It is 6 core. I have this on my alt system and built it before RAM prices increased (it came with MB+CPU+RAM) for like $399.

Find a person who lives by one and hire them to buy one and ship to you.

So what is currently the best play to get ram? Second hand market? I need to get a new rig and it seems to have been the worst time for it

The toughest situation about buying these parts right now is not being able to test out if any of these parts have issues before the return window is up. If you know someone that can lend you a RAM stick to test for problems, that's got to be a prerequisite.

With these DDR 5 prices, I'll be on the sidelines for the foreseeable future.

Second Hand Market if you live in a populated region or are willing to drive to a more populated region (and occasionally drive out to the middle of nowhere too) - I have noticed that sellers in urban areas have more competition so their prices tend to be lower and they usally sell fast if priced below market value.

Sometimes you get lower price from someone in the rural areas because they are desparate to move the item and know there are fewer locals to sell to and fewer people are willing to make a long drive.

I also take a browse through these listings and will quietly shoot a trade opportunity with an equivalent value item or items sometimes.

This is NOT the time to build an AM5 platform with DDR5 pricing. Terrible bang for your buck.
