The toughest situation about buying these parts right now is not being able to test out if any of these parts have issues before the return window is up. If you know someone that can lend you a RAM stick to test for problems, that's got to be a prerequisite.
I've been lucky doing this, but it does make me nervous. The last system I built, I took a little over 6 months. I bought components as deals became available. Bought a MB on a deal, bought a CPU a little later, bought RAM, GPU, SDD and PSU as sales popped up with various vendors. Most were out of return windows when I finally assembled it all. Luckily, it all worked, but it did make me nervous.

Indeed, that is nerve racking and lucky. I'd guess majority of the time, there's no issues. But when I thought it couldn't happen to me, my last build a could years ago, had me troubleshooting a defective motherboard. Replaced with another one within the return window easily. Once it happens to you, then it'll change your mindset forever.

Agree 100%. I likely will not do it again.

7600x3d cheap is exclusively designed for Microcenter. It is 6 core. I have this on my alt system and built it before RAM prices increased (it came with MB+CPU+RAM) for like $399.
I like that 7600x3d cheap instead of chip

This is NOT the time to build an AM5 platform with DDR5 pricing. Terrible bang for your buck.
Not a time for ANY building, really!

The product name of the bundle shows 7600x but if you scroll down it shows the 7600x3d is what is in the bundle not the 7600x. Also makes sense since Micro Center has a 7600x3d bundle with a asus b650e for the same price.
A similar combo 7600x3d +B850 mobo deal was $280 a month ago but I canceled my order after checking out ram prices. It got even worse in a month

With these DDR 5 prices, I'll be on the sidelines for the foreseeable future.
I had a very nice system with 64gb DDR5 planned out with a 9950x3d under 2k but decided to wait until I moved. What a mistake that was!! I'll be waiting for a bit as well.

Have a 32GB stick of DDR5 sitting on my desk currently, wish I could trade it out for 2x16GB, lol.

Went ahead and ordered the bundle tho, I'll decide over the weekend if I want to swing by and pick it up.

the memory used to be included in these bundles at the same price. Maybe you only get 16GB if it's the $299 bundle. those were the days...

Deal is dead, they're now forcing you to buy overpriced ram to get cpu/mb discounts.
