bad reviews regarding random shutdowns and fan noise level. at this price point tho, it might be worth considering it as a janky ups/backup for a work laptop?

I have the 300Wh version, and it has a lot of problems. I don't recommend buying Litheli even for $150/1000Wh.

"Lot of great reviews" is an overstatement because it currently has 1 review on their website.

YOLO, went for this, hope it works out. Reviews look ok on the website and other models in this line.
